Harrison put on an epic display. He started the game looking for teammates and showing that he could hit cutters with an accurate pass. As the game went on though, Harrison heated up. He scored 5 straight points to give Pioneer the lead early in the second quarter. But Harrison still kept teammates involved with the drive and kick. He worked well off the screen, creating space for a turnaround jumper from the free throw live and also scored in transition. Harrison even scored off the bounce. He used a pretty stutter step move and a righty finish in traffic. Harrison was able to rip both ways and finish with creativity. He scored his 1000th point in the win.

Harrison easily caught my eye on this matchup. He was the leading scorer for Pioneer, and what was most impressive, is that he didn’t need to be ball or shot heavy to lead in scoring. Harrison was a willing passer that recognized good scoring opportunities. He showed a next level blow by speed off the bounce.

Harrison was another standout player at the Always In My Bag event. He’s led Ann Arbor Pioneer to a great start to January. Harrison is at his best when going north-south and can really create lanes and attack them with the ball. He plays an aggressive offensive game.

Harrison will be hard to stop in Washtenaw County. He’s at his best when playing downhill and finding lanes to the rim. If a team allows a double lane to open up, Harrison will surely see it and attack it. He’s the type of player that seems to have a knack for creating looks at the rim.

I’m hoping that we get a chance to see Harrison with The Academy Black at the GRBA National Championships. He must have had a great performance at a recent college camp, because he now has an offer. It’d be fun to see that athletic guard work the open floor.

Harrison showed this month that he’s a player to watch in the SEC this coming season. He’s slick with the ball, showing a good feel for the court. Harrison can knife through a small lane and make a play or get a bucket. He has kept the ball protected in traffic and rarely turned it over.

We watched a lot of prospects from within the Hoosier state on Saturday, but this 6’1″ guard from Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan was one of the top out-of-state prospects to grab our attention. His two-way athleticism and explosiveness when getting downhill to the rim led to a lot of success for him The Academy Black 17u on Saturday morning.
