Kaleb has fully settled into his role as the engine of Homewood's attack, and his growth as a floor general has been one of the more impressive of the season. He plays with poise, command, and an advanced understanding of tempo. He is in complete control of the Patriots' system, consistently putting teammates in the right spots while still asserting himself as a legitimate scoring threat. What stands out most is his decision-making. He knows when to push, when to settle the group, and when it is time to go get a bucket. He facilitates naturally, sees the floor well, and has become increasingly reliable late in possessions. Coaches at the next level have taken notice, and rightfully so as his maturity, leadership, and efficiency make him the type of guard every program values. Simply put, Homewood's postseason ceiling rises and falls with Kaleb, and right now, he has them trending in the right direction.

There may not have been a more electric first half in the state than what DaeShaun delivered. Night after night, he has looked like the most dynamic lead guard on the floor, regardless of class or competition. He is a true dual-threat guard with a deep scoring bag and the instincts of a natural orchestrator. He can break down defenses, score at all three levels, and still keep everyone else engaged. His feel for the game jumps off the tape. He reads defenders, anticipates rotations, and makes plays before the defense can react. Whether he is attacking downhill, creating out of ball screens, or making the right pass at the right time, DaeShaun consistently dictates terms. He plays with confidence, flair, and control, a dangerous combination come playoff time. If Pelham is cutting down nets in Birmingham, it is likely because Morrissette took games over when the lights were brightest.

Braylen has already outgrown the “top freshman” label as he is simply one of the most intriguing young prospects in the region, period. He has a strong, well-proportioned frame and eye-catching physical tools, that passes the eye test immediately. But it is his on-court production and composure that have propelled him into national conversations. He boasts a versatile, multi-level scoring arsenal and has shown the ability to create offense both on and off the ball. Despite being one of the youngest players on the floor most nights, he is consistently been the focal point of opposing scouting reports, as he is seeing heavy ball pressure, double-teams, and physical coverage. To his credit, he has handled those challenges well, continuing to produce while learning how to counter defensive attention. His upside is enormous, and the experience he is gaining now will pay dividends for years to come.

Mason has had a stock-rising first-half surge highlighted by a strong showing at the Huntsville City Classic, which put plenty of evaluators and college coaches on notice. He is a smooth, skilled combo guard, and brings versatility to the backcourt with his ability to operate both on and off the ball. He scores it efficiently, but his impact extends beyond points. He plays with excellent pace and uses his ability to get into the paint to create advantages. He finishes well at the rim, is comfortable pulling up from mid-range, and can knock down shots from deep when defenders sag. What separates him is his decision-making in traffic as he keeps his head up, reads help defenders, and consistently makes smart plays in tight windows. His gravity opens things up for teammates, making him a valuable piece as Montgomery Academy eyes a strong postseason push.

Jake is a major reason Section is being penciled in as a legitimate contender for a Birmingham run. He is a knockdown perimeter shooter with deep range, and he has a pure stroke and the confidence to let it fly in big moments. But he is far from just a spot-up guy, as his off-the-bounce craft and natural shiftiness allow him to create space and score in a variety of ways. He has a soft touch throughout the lane, mixing in floaters, runners, and creative finishes at the rim with either hand. He is also one of the more efficient guards you will find, taking care of the ball and rarely forcing the issue. His ability to balance shot-making with smart decision-making makes him a stabilizing presence, and a dangerous one, when defenses overcommit.

Musa has quietly put together a strong first half and looks primed to become a major factor as Pike Road gears up for the stretch run. He is long, wiry, and athletic, and he impacts the game on both ends with his length and activity. Defensively, he shows good timing as a shot blocker and consistently alters plays around the rim. On the glass, he is active and aggressive, extending possessions and finishing plays. Offensively, he runs the floor hard, finishes above the rim, and plays within himself. While there is still room for growth, particularly in strength and offensive polish, what he has shown so far makes it clear he is ready to take the next step. His presence in the paint gives Pike Road a valuable interior anchor, and his continued development could be the difference in a deep playoff run.
