<p>I watched the prestigious <strong>Damien Classic</strong> which is located at La Verne, CA at Damien HS. The event has 9 brackets of 16 teams each and six Arizona teams invaded Cali and did quite well.</p>

<p>Sunnyslope (4-0) actually won the top Platinum Division and Sandra Day O'Connor (1-3) ended up in 8th place. Mesa (1-3) got 8th place in the Gold Division, Central (3-1) got 3rd place and Liberty (2-2) got 11th place in the Diamond Division and finally Saguaro (2-2) earned 6th place in the Silver Division.</p>

<p>A massive post player who protects the rim with an incredible wingspan and strength. He will block shots and grab rebounds in his area with his sheer reach and size. He scores it with put backs, dunks, hook shots and tough layups around the basket. </p>

<p>An undersized power forward is tough and has good length with a big motor. He will score it effectively around the basket with tough shots in traffic, he will get on the glass with put backs and absorbs contact to score or will earn trips to free throw line. He will also rebound well in his area. </p>

<p>A highly skilled big man showed off his full repertoire with defending the post to scoring. He will fill it up with drop steps, floaters, threes off the catch, mid-range jumpers and offensive rebound put backs. He will block or alter shots and he is a good passer. </p>

<p>Wabbington earned an All-Tourney spot at the Damien Classic. He was nearly impossible to stop and showed he was the top post player at the event. He scored it everyway with fall aways, quick rip thrus, threes off the catch, drop step moves, hook shots with either hand, offensive rebound put backs and even made an open court steal and took it coast to coast showing off his agility. His passing and rebounding also stood out. </p>

<p>A face-up forward who can play the 3-5 for the team. He is a natural power forward but can defend multiple positions. He shoots it with mid-range jumpers, which is quickly becoming his most reliable shot, layups in the lane and makes his money with the three off the catch. He has a lightning quick release and he hit a clutch three to win one of their big games getting to the championship game. He also rebounds well in his area and earned an All-Tourney spot at the Damien Classic</p>

<p>A strong framed power forward is their interior presence on defense. He gobbles up rebounds and will alter or block shots. He scores with mid-range jumpers, tough contested layups, offensive rebound put backs and polished hook shots. He also moves his feet well in space to defend. </p>

<p>A fluid power forward is the team's sixth man who is a natural rim protector. He will alter or block shots and moves well in space to defend. He will score with offensive rebound put backs, drives to the basket and he will give a ball fake inside the paint and go up. He is a quick leaper to go up to score or defend. </p>
