Battle at the Trail: Taking a closer look

On Saturday January 10 PH NorCal was at Monterey Trail High School for the Battle at the Trail. This annual event brings attention to NorCal players from Sacramento, Stockton, and surrounding areas. Here's a closer look at players who stood out with their play on the court.    The unsigned Senior seems to be coming into his own showing patience as the season progresses. He's settling the offense up top, involving others with good passing around the perimeter, feeding the post, he's letting the game come to him. His good handles, and speed allows him to drive and kick to shooters in the corners, and wings. He can drop 3's, and hit the mid-range.     A fast guard with good ball handling skill. He shows quickness and foot speed going up and down the court, with or without the ball. Probably be a pass first point guard, but can create his own opportunities, going past defenders, pulling up for paint jumpers. He keeps his dribble live running the offense, while looking to involve others with good passing around the perimeter. He has quick hands and feet to generate steals on the defensive side of the ball.         He's been steady since the start of the season playing his way off the Watch List to ranking. He has good hands, and activity around the basket, ready to receive passes from different angles, and finish around the basket. He has good rebounding numbers almost 9 per game. He's defending multiple positions. He runs the court for transition baskets. he doesn't mind mixing it up in the paint.     He's having a productive season starting or coming off the bench. At 6'4 he's strong with a solid body he's still learning how to use to his advantage. He's been aggressive in the paint going up strong off two feet, working for rebounds, and put back points, he's finding ways to score in the paint. He's giving good effort on the defensive side of the ball.     He's an improving point guard in the 2027 class. He's play with balance averaging 10.8, 4.7 assists per game. He's a speedy point guard with quality handles, and vision making the effort to slow things down and run the offense with good passing around the perimeter, pushing fast and passing up in transition. He's making good decisions. He can get into the paint for points and assists.     A reliable point guard from the Marin parts of the Bay Area. He's averaging 12.3, 4.3A, along with 3.3S agame. He makes good decisions with the ball in hand. He has speed, good handles, he gets into the paint for jumpers, and assists. He has the foot speed to stick and stay in front of ball handlers, and shooters.     He's a rising guard in the Sacramento Area, doesn't get enough credit for his overall productivity on the court. He's 6'3 with a set of guard skills that will continue to expand. He has the speed, quality handles, and vision creates opportunities himself and other, he's an underrated passer. He has a clean jumper from mid-range with lift. He defends multiple positions, he's a rebounding guard.     He's a rising prospect in the Class of 2027. A long wiry prospect with improving skills. He has good activity around the basket on both ends. He's long with quick jumps for taps ins, and put backs. He has a paint jumper on the turnaround, or facing up. He can attack from the baseline and free throw area using a dribble or two. He rebounds, goes after blocks, a court runner.
