[player_tooltip player_id='2555972' first='Jevon' last='Walker'], a key contributor to George Ranch High School's two victories at the Katy ISD tournament on Saturday, showcased his skills with two impressive performances. He scored 18 points against Houston Lamar High School and 14 points against Klein Forest High School. Standing at 6'4”, Jevon effectively utilizes his height to his advantage. He maintains possession of the ball securely, using his length to shield it from defenders. As a sharp passer, he excels in the half-court setting and is adept at driving and kicking to his teammates on the perimeter. Throughout both games, it's evident that Jevon is a versatile scorer, capable of reaching the basket using counters when faced with defensive pressure. Defensively, Walker's length proves invaluable in covering ground on smaller guards. He's also a willing rebounder, crashing the glass and collecting multiple rebounds for George Ranch High School.

[player_tooltip player_id='2555252' first='Adeolu' last='Ogunsanya'] was a standout forward from George Ranch High School that had two great performances. He scored 16 points against Houston Lamar and 18 against Klein Forest. Adeolu truly excels in the interior for George Ranch High School. Once he gets within the paint, he goes up strong, finishing multiple plays with contact. In fast-paced offensive possessions he proved to be a capable lob threat as he runs well in transition. He also showed effort in the rebounding department by crashing the glass on both ends of the floor. In both games, Adeolu competed hard on both ends of the floor, demonstrating his ability to impact the game beyond scoring. Adeolu, being in the class of 2026 should definitely be on college radars.

[player_tooltip player_id='2555015' first='Brody' last='Thornton'] is a 6'6 forward that has shown improvement since his time at Bush High School. During the Katy ISD Tournament, he delivered two impressive performances against Houston Lamar and Klein Forest High School, scoring 17 points and 21 points in each game. Brody's strong frame and power make him a force when driving to the basket, creating the separation needed for successful finishes. Additionally, he effectively converts play finishes through contact when faced with opposing defenders. On the boards, Brody is a reliable rebounder, consistently giving extra effort to crash the boards. Defensively, his versatility is evident as he can guard in the paint and perimeter, maintaining a good pace against opposing positions ranging from 1-5. Brody would definitely be a valuable addition to a college program next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2432380' first='Kason' last='Scipio'] was a big-time contributor for George Ranch High School against Klein Forest High School finishing with 15 points in a victory. In this game he took full advantage in transition opening up driving lanes for himself with the ball in his possession going coast to coast finishing at the basket multiple times using his length effectively standing at 6'5. In the half court he creates straight line drives for himself as well. Defensively is capable of cover ground with his on-ball defense looking versatile on that end of the floor throughout the Katy ISD Tournament. Off the ball Kason hustles very well making good rotations coming away with deflections and key defensive plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='2252901' first='Malik' last='Olajuwon'] put on a huge offensive display against Seven Lakes at the Katy ISD Tournament. In this game against a formidable Seven Lakes team, he put up 25 points scoring inside and out of the perimeter creating for himself. When handling the ball, he was a downhill scoring threat that created numerous opportunities due to his 6'4 length and burst of speed to lose defenders. As I could tell throughout the game Malik was a comfortable shooter from the perimeter that capitalized on plenty of shots from deep. He was the main source for Clements High School despite the loss to Seven Lakes High School.
