WBCA/Prep Hoops Poll for week of December 22
New No. 1 teams have emerged in Divisions 2 and 3 in this week's Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association/Prep Hoops Wisconsin basketball poll of state-wide coaches.
With Slinger dropping a North Shore Conference game to Homestead and falling to 5-2 on the season, the Owls slipped from No. 1 to No. 2 in this week's Division 2 poll with Onalaska, now 5-0, taking over the top spot. The Hilltoppers are coming off a very impressive week as they beat two ranked teams in DeForest (72-42) and Aquinas (77-68).

, the sophomore son of Onalaska coach Craig Kowal, had 28 points in the game against Aquinas before fouling out with five minutes left in the contest.
Racine St. Catherine's (4-1) falls out of the top spot in Division 3 after losing a road game to Martin Luther, 86-81, with Bay Conference-leading Seymour (5-0) replacing the Angels as the No. 1-ranked team in Division 3. Seymour posted wins over New London (63-44) and Green Bay West (80-30) last week.
Wisconsin Lutheran (6-0) in Division 1, Milwaukee Juneau in Division 4 and North Crawford in Division 5 remain the top-ranked squads in their respective divisions. Wisconsin Lutheran plays over the holiday break in the prestigious Beach Ball Classic in South Carolina. The first game the Vikings play in the event will be against Myrtle Beach High School of South Carolina.
There will be no poll next week due to the Christmas break, but here is this week's rankings:
