His size, strength, and mobility made him a sought-after commodity, and he will be taking his talents to Iowa State. Upside is yet to be determined, but he has a big-time upside. He will likely get on campus in a little over two years. He puts the ball on the floor and attacks the rim, and he has a bag when it comes to attacking the rim. He has the strength and athleticism to beat players off the dribble. His motor on the glass is impressive, too. Mella is a player who is not only willing to defend anyone but is also more than capable. He can shoot and get to the rim. He is not flashy; he keeps things simple.
