In Part Two, we'll dive into more standout player performances from the day. These athletes rose to the occasion and helped their teams shine in front of a packed house at Carroll High School. With plenty of memorable moments throughout the event, here are some of the top performers of the day.

Brown picked up right where he left off when I saw him in the summer, but has added a little bit more to his game. Along with being a strong post player, elite rebounder, strong finisher and overall lane intimidator he added the jump shot. He was impressive every time he stepped on the floor and will be a huge weapon for Madison this season. He is another next level prospect that can help a team with his obvious tools. He is a high IQ player and Madison is going to shock some teams with him dominating in the paint on both sides of the ball.

Vaughn may have been the most impressive guard of the day for so many reasons. First of all, he controlled the game from start to finish. He is smooth with the ball and does not turn it over. He is smart with the ball and always catches his team mates moving without the ball. He is a floor general in the most true sense of the term. He is in control of the game. He has a nice stroke from anywhere on the court, and can score when he wants. Some would consider him undersized, but I don't think he would struggle guarding bigger players. He is quick with great defensive instincts. I will finish with his overall athleticism that he demonstrated on a back door two hand alley ooop. Coaches looking for a floor general need to make a trip to Tallulah.

Hunter is a polished guard with everything coaches look for at the next level. He dropped an efficient 21 points and made the game look effortless. He is calm with the ball in his hands and has a simple game. If you back off him, he can shoot the three ball. If you play him too close he can punish you going to the goal. Give him space and he is an elite mid-range shooter. He has the size and frame to play through the contact. He has the IQ to play point guard and size and skill to play the shooting guard. Hunter is one of the top players in the state and it was on full display at Carroll.

Dunn has stepped into his scoring role with ease this season and looks comfortable on the court. Earlier this week he knocked down a game winning buzzer beater vs Union in a nail biter. Dunn has improved his game specifically his shooting and will be one of the lead guys for Ouachita as they look to make some noise this season. Dunn is a high level defender and intense player that competes on every play. Keep an eye on Dunn because he will continue to put up numbers. Ouachita could be a team nobody wants to see in the playoffs.

I have never seen nor heard of Potter, but he showed up with it on his mind. He got right to it and went to work. Shot after shot he was on point for his team. His ability to makes shots opened up the game for his team mates and really busted the game open. He was lethal from three point range and with the ball in his hands he was a consistent creator. Making shots in somebody else gym is a testament to hard work, and it is obvious this kid been working. If nobody else tells you, you heard it here first. Richwood has a shooter, and if you are going to beat them, do not let him get going.

Stay locked in for more Coverage from the amazing day of High School Prep Hoops.
