Swearingen helped his team defeat Milan. The Big Reds came out with the intent of slowing Swearingen. Even facing constant double teams and face guarding, he still got some buckets, including a steal and a dunk on the other end. He hit a nasty left to right free throw line leaner that was basically impossible to defend. Swearingen played smart and efficient basketball and didn't force things to get buckets. In fact, his best play of the night might have been an over the top baseline feed for an assist.

Poole could be a player to watch as the season unfolds for the River Rats. He played excellent perimeter defense, stifling ball handlers and limiting perimeter options. Poole created at least 1 turnover in the game against Saline. He also showed range on his jumper with a catch and shoot triple.

Talladay is coming off a breakout spring and summer with the Midwest Stampede and is continuing to play outstanding basketball. There were times in the game against Riverview that he dominated the glass. It felt like he had a handful of put back buckets. We saw Talladay's lights out mid range jumper this summer and we saw it in this game when he buried a fall away baseline shot.

Harmon is a rising prospect and just a really good basketball player. In true Clarkston form, the first thing I noticed from Harmon against WLW was his passing. Harmon had a really nice tip pass over the top to a teammate by the block for an assist. He was also able to be active on the glass, earning a flip in put back bucket. Harmon showed his willingness to hustle and run the floor when he beat the defense back, caught the over the top down court feed and finished with a ;ayup.

Doyle is a high quality player that has been fun to watch whenever I see him play. I really liked the way that he worked off the baseline against Milan. Doyle hit 2 catch and shoot 3's from the corner. He added a baseline 3 dribble drive for a bucket. Doyle was able to attack the rim off the bounce from the top as well.
