Thanksgiving week I attended four tournaments for exactly 25 games and 48 different teams. The events I watched were Phoenix Union Coyote Classic at Central and Deer Valley for 2 days, Fear The Hop Tournament at Mesa HS, Ben Franklin Thanksgiving Classic at Ben Franklin and Gilbert Christian and lastly the LV8 Invitational at Chandler-Gilbert CC.

Here were some Stock Riser Guards

[player_tooltip player_id='2533645' first='Wyatt' last='Fulton'] Rancho Solano Prep (Pictured left)

A true combo guard who does a little bit of everything for them. He will facilitate with pocket passes and drive and kick it. He will hesitate to the basket and find an open shooter almost every time. He will make tough shots inside with contact and hit the three off the catch, move without the ball and score with step thrus. He is also very crafty to change speeds to get to the free throw line and fights for every loose ball to rebound.

[player_tooltip player_id='1768204' first='Luke' last='Larrabee'] Rancho Solano Prep (Pictured right)

A combo guard has a deep bag to score. He is a deep three point shooter, he can hit the step back mid-range, fall aways, cuts off the ball, post ups, reverse layups and he will drive and kick it to open shooters. He is a better passer then what he gets credited with since he scores it so easily. He plays the passing lanes well to collect steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2674658' first='Dylan' last='Gesner'] Eastmark

A scoring point guard plays smartly off of the pick and roll game and will find a teammate with some needle threaders. He will get a step on his defender and get downhill plus will pull-up from mid-range, hit the three and burst to the basket. His mid-range pull-ups are his sweet spot for sure. He scored 16 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1596641' first='Damien' last='Tillman'] Dysart

A lean combo looks like he is still growing and gaining confidence. He will score with bursts into the lane and thru the contact getting to the line often. He smartly changes speeds and is also quick on the break. He also comes with plus court vision. He scored 15+ points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2295697' first='Chase' last='Swenson'] Chaparral

A highly skilled shooter who can get a step on a defender and can fall away from his defenders from mid-range. The point guard can make play with his left or right hand straight into a shooting pocket. He shows good pace to his game and his mid-range J is his sweet spot. He scored 10+ points.

[player_tooltip player_id='3025654' first='Spencer' last='Lowe'] Red Mountain

A growing scoring guard with length has a strap. He will catch and shoot from the three point line and rattle them in one by one. He is also a very long strider to score in traffic or earn trips to the free trow line. His best ball is clearly ahead of him. He scored 17 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2884398' first='Kingston' last='Campas'] Salpointe Catholic

A bigger scoring lead guard who can get downhill to the basket to score or get to the free throw line. He is very crafty inside to score with euro steps and off the catch or off the dribble perimeter jumpers. He is also a good rebounder in his area. He scored 16 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2332290' first='Amir' last='Kendrick'] Cesar Chavez

A pure point guard who grew three inches. He will throw up the court passes on a rope and he is an incredible passer thru the defense off of a live dribble. He will play off of the pick and game and rise up to score. He can hit the three off the catch or pull, hit the mid-range pull-up or get downhill with his thicker frame. He scored 15 points with 4+ assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2281702' first='Caleb' last='McDaniel'] Cesar Chavez

A quick on quick defensive point guard. He is a very good on-ball defender with his quick hands and feet. He will split defenders and break down most opponents with his yo-yo handle and hit the three off the catch. His speed on the break is next level stuff. He scored 10+ points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2856345' first='Moses' last='Woinewala'] Centennial

An undersized scoring guard had a good showing. He will score with drive by's thru the contact with and-1's, threes off the catch and get to the free throw line and is playing more with some of their transfers not eligible yet. He also rebounds well in his area. He is a key bench player this year and will start next year with many senior starters.
