FCA I-85 Battleground Showcase – The Guards

Prep Hoops SC was in attendance for the event, checking out all 8 South Carolina teams, 6 Georgia teams, and 2 North Carolina teams. I didn't get to see Bentley take the floor last season at this event because he was out with an injury, but he didn't disappoint this season and helped lead the hosts to a nice win. Huff is a very good shooter when his feet are set, and the Lions will run actions to get him open behind the arc. He is also an active defender and will make plays for others when the eyes of the defense are on him. He erupted for 38 points on 7-12 3FG, displaying one of the purest jump shots that you will find at the high-school level. He had to work hard for his looks early in the game, but that is no issue because Pierce is more than comfortable at playing through contact or hitting tough shots over good defense. Davis has shown some great signs of progression so far in his Junior Season, and Saturday's win was one of those signs, as he put up 19 points, 5 steals, and 3 assists. Dee did a good job of getting the ball downhill, where he could get to a floater, a mid-range pull-up, or a trip to the free-throw line. Although he did a little bit of everything to the tune of 10 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block, it was the passing that was most indicative of what he could be down the line. Miller might not be one of the most highly-touted players in Georgia, but there's no doubt he can play. He is a pure bucket-getter, capable of taking and making tough shots at all three levels. Aiden is also a decent athlete, can run the pick-and-roll, and guard his yard on the defensive end. He was a bright spot for the Eagles in a tough loss to Westside (SC), going for 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
