The 2025 Fellowship of Christian Athletes I-85 Battleground Showcase was held on Saturday, December 13th at Franklin County High School in Carnesville, Georgia. Prep Hoops SC was in attendance for the event, checking out all 8 South Carolina teams, 6 Georgia teams, and 2 North Carolina teams. Check out my five stand-out wings from this year's event:

One of the most surprising results on Saturday was Concord Academy's complete domination of Dorman (SC) in the final game of the day. There is no doubt the Eagles are one of the best teams in the Hoop State, but Dorman is a traditional powerhouse in South Carolina and has an excellent squad this year. One of the reasons why Concord was at the peak of it's powers was the first half from [player_tooltip player_id='2709267' first='James' last='Minlend']. His combination of size and athleticism is a nightmare matchup for high-school wings. He had his way offensively, using his bounce to finish in the paint, size to work small switches into the post, and even connected on a few jumpers. Minlend's services weren't needed in the second half because of the huge lead, but he still finished with 15 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals in the win.

Solomon is a very intriguing player out of Milton High School in Georgia. At 6'8" 225 lbs, he is a physical specimen on the floor at all times. On the defensive end, he felt like he was everywhere, affecting shots even when he wasn't blocking them. On the offensive end, most of Bratton's work came in the post, but that doesn't mean he is strictly a back-to-the-basket player. He has the ball in his hands a lot and can create for himself or others off the dribble. Despite the loss, Solomon impressed with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks in Franklin County.

[player_tooltip player_id='2433116' first='Antoine' last='Caughman Jr'], the top prospect in South Carolina's 2028 Class, was on display at the FCA I-85 Battleground Showcase. And in the second half of Keenan's win over Milton (GA), Antoine lived up to the hype and proved just why he will be a highly coveted player in the future. Over the last 16:00, he tallied 19 points and 3 steals on 4-7 3FG to help carry the Raiders to victory. All of Caughman's threes were crucial to the flow of the game, but it never felt like he was going to shy away from the moment, and even looked composed on plays like a SLOB for a left-corner three, a pump-fake pull-up three, and a steal turned into a transition and-one, which sealed the win.

Another young Keenan Raider who stepped up in the win was Jones, who put up 16 points and 11 rebounds. Zyion is one of the best defenders in the Palmetto State regardless of class. He can hold up around the rim despite a more slender frame, but he is also excellent off-the-ball with his length and instincts. His offensive productivity helped keep Keenan in it in the first half because he challenged the offensive glass and created second-chance points, but he was also a part of the big fourth-quarter run with a left-corner three. The three-ball will be the telling sign of Jones' long-term future, but he is ready now to be a key player on one of the best teams in the state.

One of the most under-the-radar standouts from the FCA I-85 Battleground Showcase is [player_tooltip player_id='2561884' first='Logan' last='Reid Clark']. Clark had an increased role with the Green Wave down two starters, and stepped up with a solid 12-point, 6-rebound, and 2-steal performance. His 12 points included two made threes, which is what most of his game is based around. Logan also had a baseline runner when run off the three-point line and turned a steal into a transition score. If Clark can develop from a good three-point shooter into a great one, he is worth a look from college coaches.
