Perez-Hietbrink was great in a big win over defending 3A champion MOC-Floyd Valley, dropping 30 points and showcasing his shooting ability by knocking down six 3-pointers. He's not just a shooter, though, getting to the rim and the free-throw line a ton against the Dutchmen to help the Warriors come away with a big win.

2026 SF [player_tooltip player_id='2120763' first='Jack' last='McGuire'] (Pella) -- 29 points (10-16 FG, 3-6 3P, 6-7 FT), 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals [vs. Keokuk]

McGuire was in complete control against Keokuk, putting up a double-double and looking much more comfortable as both a perimeter shooter and a ball-handler. He has always been money in the mid-range, but if the extended range and improved handle are for real, watch out.

2027 SG [player_tooltip player_id='2530471' first='Tate' last='McCollum'] (Solon) -- 31 points (11-21 FG, 5-15 3P, 4-6 FT), 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 steals [vs. Regina]

McCollum, the son of new Iowa head coach Ben McCollum, is one of the most confident shooters in the state. He has in the gym range and can bury shots routinely off either the dribble or the catch. He did a nice job here using the threat of his jumper to open up the rest of his arsenal, getting into the painted area where he can finish through contact or score over bigger players with a nice floater.

2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='1978109' first='Christian' last='Stacy'] (Marion) -- 26 points (9-15 FG, 2-5 3P, 6-6 FT), 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals [vs. Clear Creek Amana]

Stacy is a transfer from WACO, where he was a high-level scorer for the Warriors. He showed that off against CCA last week, scoring 26 points on 60% shooting in a big win for the Wolves. He's an off-ball guard with good size who can shoot it off the catch or create quality looks off the bounce.

2026 SF [player_tooltip player_id='2731750' first='Eli' last='Patterson'] (Benton) -- 18 points (6-11 FG, 1-2 3P, 5-7 FT), 19 rebounds (8 offensive), 1 assist, 1 block [at Mount Vernon]

A highly active 6-4 combo forward, Patterson put up a massive double-double against the Mustangs, dominating the glass and pulling down a ton of second-chance opportunities for his Bobcats. His activity level, constant movement, and non-stop motor make him a difficult matchup.

2028 PF Isaiah Lange (Mount Pleasant) -- 18 points (7-13 FG, 1-1 3P, 3-4 FT), 16 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 block [vs. Fort Madison]

The 6-5 sophomore was dominant against Fort Madison, stuffing the stat sheet in a variety of ways for the Panthers. He scored efficiently around the bucket, stepped out and knocked down a 3, and was a force on the glass. He's part of a 2028 class at Mount Pleasant that lacks much experience, but has quite a bit of talent and size.

2026 PF [player_tooltip player_id='1765535' first='John' last='Nelson'] (Nevada) -- 21 points (8-16 FG, 2-5 3P, 3-3 FT), 14 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 3 blocks [at Roland-Story]

Nelson has been one of the most productive players in 3A since he was a freshman, and he showed his two-way impact against the Norsemen, putting up a big double-double to go with five stocks. With his combination of size, length, and athleticism, he's a difficult matchup at this level.

2026 PG [player_tooltip player_id='2731843' first='Drake' last='Larson'] (Knoxville) -- 17 points (6-11 FG, 3-7 3P, 2-2 FT), 3 rebounds, 12 assists, 3 steals, 1 turnover [vs. Chariton]

Knoxville lost a ton of production from last year's team to graduation, but the Panthers have gotten off to another strong start in large part because of the strong play of Larson, one of the few returnees with experience. A quick guard with great vision, he was in complete control on both ends of the floor against Chariton, dishing out 12 helpers against just one turnover.
