Defenders at the Class A level certainly struggle to contain them nightly.

[player_tooltip player_id='3141688' first='Isaac' last='Hargrove'] (Culleoka)

Isaac can hit the three. He is a strong senior, definitely one of the strongest guards physically at the Class A level. His wing three-pointer versus Battle Creek stymied a daunting BCHS run, elevating Culleoka back to an eight-point lead. Midway through the third quarter Culleoka led 36-28 at the Cornersville Invitational.

[player_tooltip player_id='3141685' first='Cody' last='McMillan'] (Culleoka)

Cody is what's historically known as a space-eater. Big, owns his position and is impossible to bump off the spot. Like Mike Alstott of the Tampa Buccaneers way back when...Cody is a freight train full of power when he gets "downhill" on the drive. He attacked Battle Creek with a 20' penetrating drive that was unmet, perhaps for fear of physical safety. Finished with a soft layup over the front of the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2257260' first='Jax' last='Poole'] (Lake County)

[player_tooltip player_id='2257260' first='Jax' last='Poole'] is new to the state, as he moved to Tennessee in November. Lake County High played bigger schools to open the year (Westview, Peabody, Union City). Poole averaged 17 ppg, 6 apg, 4 rpg, and 2 spg through those three games.

[player_tooltip player_id='1959189' first='Cayman' last='Camfield'] (Wayne County)

Wayne County senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1959189' first='Cayman' last='Camfield'] pushed his Wildcats to the Class A State Tournament in March, and they look capable of returning.

"As a team we have always been 'Pound it inside first and then the outside will open up,'" shared [player_tooltip player_id='1959189' first='Cayman' last='Camfield'] at the Lighthouse Classic after Wayne County defeated a 3-A team from Mississippi Alcorn Central, 70-52. "We always play inside-out, so it just helps that that is my game.

Cayman scored 31 points (13-20 FG), including five three-pointers and five rebounds in that aforementioned Lighthouse Classic game.

He is working on speed and agility. Camfield sees defenses and makes sharp reads in real-time. There is a strong chance he plays basketball at the college level next fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='2045245' first='Burton' last='Cox'] (Jo Byrns)

Senior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2045245' first='Burton' last='Cox'] is enjoying an expectedly great season. The Jo Byrns Bobcats are out to a 3-1 record thanks to blowout wins over Montgomery Central and Greenbrier. Cox and his Bobcats also bested McEwen,

[player_tooltip player_id='2441906' first='Nathaniel' last='Cobb'] (Pickett County)

Tuesday [player_tooltip player_id='2441906' first='Nathaniel' last='Cobb'] showed off versatility and put 13 points through the halo. You can read more about it here.

[player_tooltip player_id='2866448' first='Abram' last='Phillips'] (Pickett County)

[player_tooltip player_id='2866448' first='Abram' last='Phillips'] continues to produce on the floor. Phillips sparkled back in the fall at Prep Hoops Expo. It was clearly not an aberration judging by his performances in the interim. In Tuesday's Bobcat win Phillips knocked down four three-pointers in four attempts and amassed 19 points overall. You can read more about it here. Abram put up 12 points Friday evening.

[player_tooltip player_id='2195034' first='Cole' last='J. Amonett'] (Pickett County)

Last week Cole Amonett played incredibly well, forget for a sophomore guard. He scored 26 points in a blowout win Tuesday. Friday Cole, helped by his teammates defeated 4A Oakland in triple overtime with an impressive 23 points. Amonett even made five three-pointers in the win.
