The Bison came into a game Tuesday versus Elk River at 7-0 with large wins over Cambridge and Monticello and close wins over St. Louis Park, Chanhassen, and Sartell. In the past week the Bison took care of Delano and Annandale.

The Elks were coming off back-to-back losses, one by 2 to Alexandria that they had opportunities to win in regulation and overtime and a 3-point defeat to Forest Lake.

Early on the game was close and tied 13-13 after free throws by the Bison before a Bison timeout. Buffalo had clear objectives offensively and defensively to attack Elk River. On defense they schemed to limit [player_tooltip player_id='1560841' first='Dominic' last='Webster'] who had scored 28 points in both of the previous two games being a very effective force inside for the Elks. Buffalo sent an extra defender on nearly every touch to make Webster either speed up his process or move the ball.

Webster early showed enough patience, and scored down low a few times. For the game the six-foot-five-inch 2026 senior scored 14 to lead Elk River. Defensively Webster made a few plays deflecting balls away and moving laterally.

Buffalo 2028 sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2400077' first='Eli' last='Hegle'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2397563' first='Thomas' last='Jordan'] continue to be impressive and lead the Bison while they both are seamlessly intertwined within the fabric of what Buffalo does as a team. The Bison share the ball well moving to open shooters on the perimeter and attack from the perimeter off the dribble.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126866' first='Matthew' last='Jordan'] and Tony Jordan, 2027 juniors help bring the ball up the court as well as 2026 senior [player_tooltip player_id='2620834' first='Henry' last='Bloomquist']. Buffalo's multiple ball handler attack keeps teams on their toes and they work together defensively to swarm the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2400077' first='Eli' last='Hegle'] - The six-foot-two-inch 2028 guard from Buffalo put a shooting clinic from the perimeter versus Elk River Tuesday on his way to 24 points. Hegle has good footwork on the perimeter and inside. He shows good patience with the ball, and good long distance shooting to keep defenders guessing. Hegle is averaging 21 points per game so far.

[player_tooltip player_id='2620834' first='Henry' last='Bloomquist'] - The six-foot-one-inch 2026 left-hand senior guard scored 19 points for Buffalo Tuesday night versus Elk River with some fantastic 3-point shooting and very excellent attacks from the perimeter for lay-ups. Bloomquist was very balanced playing off the ball, picked spots to be aggressive and took advantage. Bloomquist is averaging 14.3 points per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2397563' first='Thomas' last='Jordan'] - The six-foot-four-inch 2028 forward for the Bison scored 16 points Tuesday night but that is only one part of his overall impact on the game. Jordan is so solid at just about everything on the court. Solid shooter, rebounder, defends, and is a very good passer. One pass Jordan made from beyond the 3-point line cross-court to an open teammate for a 3-pointer. Thomas also handled the ball at times starting the offense, and on inbounds plays he acted like a football receiver darting down court to catch passes for lay-ups.

Tony Jordan - The six-foot-one-inch 2027 guard for Buffalo showed ability to defend in the post on switches and was an effective helper in the post all game long. Tony held his own on switches, stayed solid, and didn't foul. Offensively he scored 9 points in the game.
