2029 Watch List Update: Top Combo Guards to Track

<p>The 2029 watch list got updated on Monday with a little over 75 prospects in the update. The combo guard group is full of intrigue as it is filled with potential. Here are the 2029 combo guards to track after the update.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2508723' first='Michael' last='Postell Jr'], 6'5 St. Benedict's</strong></h2>   <p>Postell Jr has been off to a strong start during his varsity season and is making a case as the top prospect when the 2029 rankings come out. The 6'5 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Postell Jr is more than just a shooter as he can also get into the paint off the bounce and finishes nicely around the rim. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and pushes the pace well in transition. Postell Jr is a talented guard prospect who should continue to put up big numbers over the course of the season.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3224757' first='Zebron' last='Bartley'], 5'10 St. Augustine</strong></h2>   <p>Bartley has the ability to play on and off the ball, making him an intriguing prospect to track in the backcourt. The 5'10 guard has a good shooting stroke and rarely forces jumpers in the half court. Bartley can also score in the mid-range and moves well without the ball in his hands. He is a tough on-ball defender and is an underrated passer. Bartley is a gritty guard prospect who should continue to make plays in the backcourt over the next couple of months.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2813314' first='Aiden' last='Dominick'], Paul VI</strong></h2>   <p>Dominick has the potential to have a big 2026 with his ability to make plays at both ends of the floor. He has a solid handle, which he uses to get into the lane and knows how to finish around the rim. Dominick moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the half court. He rarely forces shots in the half court and gets deflections on the defensive end. Dominick's ability to score in the half court, along with his ability to defend the ball will help his stock over the next couple of months.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2874577' first='Rafael-Kian' last='Buenaventura'], 6'2 Central</strong></h2>   <p>Buenaventura has the ability to on the wing as well, making him an intriguing prospect to track. The 6'2 guard has a nice first step, which he uses to get into the paint and is unafraid of drawing contact. Buenaventura is more than just a slasher as he has a high release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. He has the potential to defend multiple positions on the floor and is an underrated rebounder. Buenaventura's versatility is something that will help his game out in a big way over the next couple of months.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2493549' first='Marcus' last='Powell'], 5'9 Jackson Township</strong></h2>   <p>Powell will get the opportunity to play on and off the ball, which will help his development this season. The 5'9 guard has a good handle, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and finishes well around the rim. Powell can also knock down jumpers from behind the arc and rarely forces jumpers from behind the arc. He is an underrated passer and works hard on the defensive end. Powell is a hard-working guard prospect who should make an impact at both ends of the floor throughout the course of the next few months.</p>
