[player_tooltip player_id='2637173' first='CJ' last='Edwards'] has leapfrogged a couple of players and is now in the #10 spot in the latest 2028 rankings. One of the craftiest underclassmen guards around, he uses hesitation moves and tight handles to leave defenders off balance. He's also not the kind of player you want leaving open looks from beyond the arc. Overall, Edwards plays with remarkable consistency, and I appreciate how he never rushes things. He just lets the game come to him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2633812' first='Tristian' last='Porter'] jumps from #14 to #12 thanks to his smooth offensive play. He operates with pace and smartly exploits the cracks in the defense. I also like that he's becoming more assertive against varsity competition and has started showing more flashes of his potential. Expect him to continue improving as the season unfolds.

I wrote about [player_tooltip player_id='2819215' first='Anthony' last='Martinez'] earlier this week after he put on a captivating performance for the Falcons against Las Vegas. He has climbed all the way to No. 38 thanks to his floor-general instincts, confidence, and shooting ability. While he's not the tallest player on the court, he plays with maturity and knows how to hunt shots when working off the ball. I also like how decisive he is. He doesn't hesitate when left open and can get hot in a hurry. Look for him to put together more big performances this winter.

The shifty Cimarron guard is now ranked #47 in the state for the class of 2028. I caught him in action at The Border League and noticed him consistently making the right reads, which led to several buckets for the Spartans in their game against “The Land.” He also put up what appears to be his varsity career high against Rancho, finishing with 30 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2819160' first='Lucas' last='Jeffers'] has moved up a few spots. He uses his speed, agility, and coordination to make tough finishes around the rim. He's also capable of turning defense into offense, creating scoring opportunities in transition when he picks an opponent's pocket. Currently, he's averaging an impressive 16.5 PPG for Awaken Christian.

[player_tooltip player_id='2819316' first='Kobe' last='Artardi'] sits at #84 in the latest rankings. He makes an impact in multiple ways. Offensively, he's averaging 11.0 PPG thanks to his 3-point shooting and athleticism. While defensively, he typically contributes a block and a steal each game. Expect him to make even more noise with the Dragons this season.
