We are excited to unveil our updated and expanded Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings! We have grown our rankings from the Top 100 to a Top 125 while adding 50 new names and growing the total Class of 2027 database to over 500 prospects. Before diving into the updated and expanded rankings, as well as the ever growing watch list, as always, let's talk about the process a bit.

All of our rankings are an inexact science. Generally speaking, we get better and better as the prospects get older and older. We have a lot more information after two or three full years, but also the best prospects rise to the varsity level and are much more easily found. In the Class of 2027, there are still some high-level prospects that haven't played a varsity minute yet and therefore it is hard to truly evaluate them against their peers. We take a lot of pride in uncovering over 500 prospects, and adding 50 new names since our last update, but we know there are more out there that deserve recognition. That is why we update these a handful of times per year. Please reach out to me if you believe that you, or someone you know, should be included. I'll be in the gym all winter as well working to grow our database and fine tune the rankings.

Also, some of the profiles included in the Watch List are incomplete. While I did take some time to clean things up, for the most part I left the information provided unchanged. Therefore, if you notice that your position and/or high school is not listed please contact me directly and I will get that updated immediately. Similarly, if you notice anything WRONG within your profile (name misspelling, height, position, high school, etc.) please reach out to me directly as well.

Now, here is the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT SENTENCE you will ever read on Prep Hoops. These are PROSPECT rankings, not PRODUCTION rankings. Inevitably, sometime in the next hour, I will get a Twitter DM or email stating something to the effect of “how is Player X ranked #Y when he hasn't even played varsity yet while my son, Player Z, averaged 15 points per game as a sophomore?” That is where I will direct you to my favorite sentence. PROSPECT versus PRODUCTION. Obviously, sometimes I get it wrong. As I led with, this is in an inexact science even after 12+ years. However, there will be Division I prospects that don't play a varsity minute until they are a junior at some larger schools while there will be four-year All-Conference players at some smaller schools that will barely be recruited at all. Our job is to try to see through the stats and evaluate what things will look like a few years from now. That can be very hard to do, and, once again, is why we update these regularly and spend more time in the gym than anyone else.

Also, it is true, that rankings really don't matter. I know that is a bit of a cliche and I understand why they matter to players…that is why I spend countless hours evaluating prospects and then pour over all information time and time again to put out the most accurate ranking possible. I know it matters to YOU. However, they don't matter much at all to the people who actually matter…college coaches. When a college coach asks me about a prospect they don't look to see what he is ranked and I don't look before I respond. Evaluations matter…rankings don't.

Finally, I am always very transparent when it comes to rankings. My email address is coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com or you can find me on Twitter @BRamseyKSR. Reach out to me if you have any questions or if you would like to submit information to be considered at the next update. We do these 3-4 times a year because we know it is an inexact science. There will always be someone flying under-the-radar. However, at Prep Hoops Indiana, we do as good of a job as possible covering every single corner of the state and finding good players from high-major Division I prospects to Division III prospects and everything in between. Between coaching at the collegiate level, running my own scouting service, and now working here at Prep Hoops Indiana I've been involved in the player evaluation and recruiting world for nearly 15 years. I am here to help you above all else. Please never hesitate to reach out with questions, comments, or concerns.
