The action on Thursday felt faster and more explosive, with players showcasing creativity, athleticism, and pure skill in ways that turned routine possessions into highlight material. Even in games that didn't stay close for four quarters, individual talent consistently took center stage. These Day 2 headliners brought the excitement and left a lasting impression with performances that demanded attention.    Douse came off the bench and immediately influenced the game with his facilitating ability and defensive pressure. He found open teammates for easy looks, defended on the ball with aggression, and forced turnovers to spark transition opportunities. Douse attacked the paint fearlessly, drew fouls, and converted at the line, while his quick burst and tight handle made him difficult to stay in front of. His spark-plug performance provided valuable momentum and impact minutes. Douse finished with 10 points and 4 steals in a 71-54 win over Gaither.     Scott brought leadership and toughness to his squad, being vocal from start to finish and anchoring the group with his energy. He knocked down difficult jumpers, defended with intensity, and stayed active in the passing lanes. Scott attacked the lane aggressively, drawing contact and getting to the free-throw line, and his effort and passion were evident throughout the game. He's a winning player who affects the game in multiple ways.     Heniger proved to be a true floor general, controlling the pace and setting the tone for Clearwater in a fast, high energy matchup. His lightning-quick handle and elite ball control allowed him to break pressure and create advantages, while his vision consistently found open teammates in scoring positions. He also showed he can call his own number, scoring with a soft-touch floater and a smooth pull-up when needed. Heniger took over late and guided Clearwater to an overtime win over Wharton with poise and confidence.     Perry served as Gaither's primary scoring option and delivered with confidence. His jumper was falling throughout Day 2, and he consistently sought out and embraced the toughest defensive assignments. Perry is a reliable catch and shoot threat who also creates space with his shiftiness, changing direction quickly and keeping defenders off balance. His scoring and defensive intensity set the tone for his team.     Mellouki made his presence felt in the paint with physical play, energy, and strong finishes around the rim. He communicated constantly and brought toughness on both ends, while also showing improvement as a perimeter defender, moving his feet well on switches and holding his own against guards. At 6'8 with developing mobility and upside, Mellouki has the tools to become a true defensive anchor as he continues to develop.
