RIIL Underclassmen: Guards to Watch

He's shifty with the ball in his hands, finds another gear in transition, and has a creative finishing arsenal around the basket. He can play through contact off the bounce and is one of the better, tough shot makers in this class. His motor always runs on high and he has the lateral mobility to keep opposing ball-handlers out of the paint and away from their scoring spots. He uses changes of direction and a quick first step to get into the paint off the bounce, shows good vision out of ball screens, and has the ability to finish over size with touch in the paint. He sees the floor well, does a nice job of pushing the pace in transition, and has a good feel for when to pick his spots as a scorer. He gets into the paint off the bounce and in doing so, shows patience and vision as a passer. He's a shot creator, both for himself and others, that displays creativity with the ball in his hands and the ability to get by the initial defender off the bounce.
