The campus of C.E. King High School played host to the annual RCS Sports HoopsGiving this year on Thanksgiving Eve. Several showcase matchups were put together by the great team of Jim Hicks and Doug Jones and featured teams from Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio on display all afternoon long. This article will talk about some prospects who really caught my eye during this event, and I will be adding to my watchlist for this season! Without further ado, let's dive in!

[player_tooltip player_id='2198630' first='Tyler' last='Jackson'] was the main player behind SA Wagner's comeback run in their game against Humble. Jackson was a key facilitator, but he showed that he can do more than that, hoisting up and draining seven three pointers in the contest. He showed great confidence in his pull up jumper off the dribble and made the defense pay when left space beyond the arc. He was patient with the ball in his hands and used quick reflexes and a variety of moves to create for himself and teammates. This was my second time getting to watch Tyler since I covered him at the PH Showcase his freshman year and his game has grown quite a lot!

[player_tooltip player_id='1560923' first='Kingston' last='Willis'] primarily played the point guard slot for the Crowley Eagles in their game against Marshall and helped set the pace on offense effectively, especially in the second half. He possesses excellent court vision and showed that he can run a talented pick and roll game as the ballhandler knowing when to pass and when to shoot. Using quick speed and good decision making, Kingston helped make it a close matchup down the stretch and really used this time to prove himself as a senior leader on this team.

Buckner came through in the clutch for the Humble Wildcats as they closed out a crucial early season victory over SA Wagner on Thanksgiving Eve. I was most impressed this game with DaTerrick's ability to blaze past defenders downhill going to the basket and in transition. Scoring on fastbreaks, his resiliency was unmatched attacking the rim and he found open teammates constantly to knock down open jumpers and increase the lead. He showed calm and poise under pressure and when the game got close in crunch time, he delivered and stayed the path to victory. It is easy to see why Buckner could be considered one of the more slept on guards in the 2026 Houston class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2545879' first='Anthony' last='Sadler'] was the very first impressive guard I got to watch open the showcase with a dominant win for Dawson over Chavez. Sadler may not have as much size as the other guards on the floor, but he makes up for it with great fighting heart and good court awareness on both ends. He has quick, fundamental perimeter defense and always knows where his teammates are at on offense. His lightning ability to play passing lanes allowed Dawson to convert several steals into fastbreak opportunities for easy buckets in the paint. This was my first time really getting to examine Anthony's game and I was impressed with his overall mindset and ability on the court. I will definitely be watching him all throughout this upcoming season as a key piece for Dawson.
