Perhaps the most exciting aspect of releasing a fresh ranking is adding newcomers. Check out the newly ranked sophomores out of the eastern third of TN.

[player_tooltip player_id='2958967' first='Lando' last='Caldwell'] - Notre Dame

Full name: Landon Caldwell. Known better as [player_tooltip player_id='2958967' first='Lando' last='Caldwell'], the Chattanooga-based talent hoops and runs track. He competes at the 200 meter and the 400 meter. Track guys obviously thrive in the open floor, which is certainly the case with Caldwell. He gets up and down with the best of them. Notre Dame's coaching staff is high on his game. Caldwell can improve his handle to incorporate sharper moves to break down defenders. Lando plays bigger than he is. Very confident slasher. Kind of a combo guard with point guard potential. Quick release on his jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id='2935143' first='David' last='Scott'] - South-Doyle

Competed at The Expo: Tennessee as September 2025 wrapped. Impressed greatly with his on-ball defense. [player_tooltip player_id='2935143' first='David' last='Scott'] will easily play either guard position at the high school level. Can he play beyond? For guards around 6' there need to be several elite skills. Scott will probably be better than average as a shooter. Wonderful court vision. Handles are strong. His on-ball defense is great already. Can he match the college athleticism? That is in question. At The Expo, David was firmly in the middle athletically. Not exceptional, not slow. It will take work to close that gap and Scott appears willing to work.

[player_tooltip player_id='2861286' first='David' last='Litchford'] - McCallie

Minutes are at a premium at McCallie this winter. The team is loaded at guard with two surefire college-bound guards, possibly as many as four. Litchford will struggle to find varsity minutes as a sophomore though he impressed at a previous PrepHoopsTN Combine with his shooting motion and consistency.

Quick enough to defend on the perimeter though his understanding of defending the pick'n'roll requires some instruction. David finished his Lane Agility promisingly (12.10 seconds). One aspect he needs to improve is showing for the ball. One on particular play during 4v4 [player_tooltip player_id='2477739' first='DJ' last='Wilbur'] wanted to get the ball on the wing, but Litchford failed to create separation and make the pass for DJ simple. So, DJ drove and absorbed Litchford's man and tried to kick but Litchford did not drift or flare to enable a simpler pass there and the team turned it over. Either of those two poor opportunities could have become good passing opportunities with simply off-ball movement. His hands measured fourth biggest among the many guards in the gym. Must gain weight/strength in chest/shoulders. Nice height for a sophomore off-guard. Might still be growing vertically too. - PrepHoopsTN Combine evaluation (June 2025)

[player_tooltip player_id='2957752' first='Gavin' last='Harmon'] - Sevier County

A new name to @PrepHoopsTN, Gavin enjoyed a very strong summer with ascending AAU-program [program_tooltip program_id='2393604' first='Tennessee' last='Impact']. They finished fifth overall in adidas 3SSB. Then he scored over 20 ppg in the Rocky Top Fall League. Beautiful shooting form.
