<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Tea Titans enter the new season as one of the most intriguing Class AA programs in the state, guided by head coach Drew Weber — widely regarded as one of South Dakota's sharpest young basketball minds. Weber has steadily built the Titans into a respected, competitive, and tough-to-prepare-for squad, and this year's group may be his most explosive yet.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tea brings back a talented core highlighted by dangerous offensive firepower — a team capable of scoring in bunches and stretching defenses to their limit. The Titans have shooters, slashers, athletes, and length across multiple positions, making them a matchup challenge every night. While still young in spots, this roster gained meaningful varsity experience last season and returns with confidence, chemistry, and a deeper understanding of what it takes to win at the AA level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With star talent leading the way, an exciting blend of emerging contributors behind them, and Weber's fast-paced modern system driving the identity, expectations are high inside the Tea gym. The Titans will be a team to watch, and if everything clicks, they'll be right in the mix when postseason talk begins.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":3139976,"width":"182px","height":"auto","sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"media"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><a href="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2025/11/image_f103d8.png"><img src="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2025/11/image_f103d8.png?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-3139976" style="width:182px;height:auto" /></a></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:image {"id":3072386,"width":"186px","height":"auto","sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"media"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><a href="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2025/11/HoopsPreview.jpg"><img src="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2025/11/HoopsPreview.jpg?w=865" alt="" class="wp-image-3072386" style="width:186px;height:auto" /></a></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontStyle":"normal","fontWeight":"100"}},"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size" style="font-style:normal;font-weight:100">The Tea Titans enter the 2025–26 season with stability at the helm, as Head Coach Drew Weber returns for his 7th year in Tea and 13th overall as a head coach. With a career record of 169–93, Weber has built a strong foundation for sustained success. He is supported by assistants Clay Robinson, Garett Johnson, Sam Scholten, and Sam Willard — a staff that mixes experience with fresh energy.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontStyle":"normal","fontWeight":"100"}},"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size" style="font-style:normal;font-weight:100">Tea finished last season 10–11, falling to Spearfish in SD16, but gained valuable experience along the way with a young roster that is now maturing into one of the more exciting squads to watch. Leading the charge is 6'3 junior [player_tooltip player_id='2250284' first='Grifin' last='Wiebenga'], a returning All-ESD and Second-Team All-State standout who ranks among the premier players in Class AA. A future college-level guard/wing, Wiebenga does a bit of everything and will now be asked to step forward as a vocal team leader. Joining him is 6'1 junior scorer [player_tooltip player_id='2132816' first='Gavin' last='Shawd'], who turned into Tea's most consistent performer down the stretch last year and has the ability to fill it up from anywhere on the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontStyle":"normal","fontWeight":"100"}},"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size" style="font-style:normal;font-weight:100">Another key returning piece is 6'3 sophomore athletes [player_tooltip player_id='2442386' first='Mitch' last='Grant'] — a defensive stopper who guarded top scorers as a freshman and now looks to expand his offensive game — and 6'3 senior [player_tooltip player_id='1911442' first='Kayden' last='Williamson'], whose length and defensive versatility allow him to guard all five positions. The Titans will also benefit from the size and promise of 6'8 sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2723975' first='Blake' last='Lundin'], an offensively skilled young big man with high upside, and the toughness of 6'3 junior [player_tooltip player_id='2550489' first='Lane' last='Sieber'], who brings physicality and a team-first mentality.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontStyle":"normal","fontWeight":"100"}},"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size" style="font-style:normal;font-weight:100">Depth will come from guards like [player_tooltip player_id='2562401' first='Caden' last='Bohnenberger'] and [player_tooltip player_id='3141056' first='Daschle' last='Lowery'] — both high-effort perimeter defenders — as well as the front-court presence of 6'7 senior [player_tooltip player_id='2562407' first='Trey' last='Severin'], who adds rim protection and physicality. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2723974' first='Lucas' last='Randall'] gives the Titans another emerging two-way contributor who could push for varsity minutes as the season develops.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontStyle":"normal","fontWeight":"100"}},"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size" style="font-style:normal;font-weight:100">One difficult storyline is the loss of senior [player_tooltip player_id='1641166' first='Brenner' last='Konrad'] to a torn ACL — a major blow to Tea's depth and frontcourt rotation. The staff will look for multiple players to step up and fill that role by committee.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontStyle":"normal","fontWeight":"100"}},"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size" style="font-style:normal;font-weight:100">The outlook for Tea is optimistic. This is still a young team, but one with meaningful varsity experience and two legitimate high-end players in Wiebenga and Shawd. With talent, length, athleticism, and a rising competitive edge, the Titans aim to surpass last year's performance and position themselves to make noise when March arrives.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontSize":"30px"}}} --> <p style="font-size:30px"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Returning Stat Leaders</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:table --> <figure class="wp-block-table"><table class="has-fixed-layout"><tbody><tr><td><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Varsity Points</span></strong></td><td><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Varsity Rebounds</span></strong></td><td><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Varsity Assists</span></strong></td><td><span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>Varsity Steals</strong></span></td><td><span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>Varsity Blocks</strong></span></td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2250284' first='Grifin' last='Wiebenga'] 15.9</td><td>Wiebenga 6.3</td><td>Wiebenga 2.5</td><td>Shawd 1.5</td><td>Grant 0.8</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2132816' first='Gavin' last='Shawd'] 12.9</td><td>Shawd 5.1</td><td>Grant 1.1</td><td>Wiebenga 1.3</td><td>Wiebenga 0.7</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2442386' first='Mitch' last='Grant'] 2.6</td><td>Grant 4.2</td><td>Shawd 1.0</td><td>Grant 0.8</td><td></td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1911442' first='Kayden' last='Williamson'] 1.1</td><td>Williamson 2.6</td><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr><tr><td><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">JV Points</span></strong></td><td><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">JV Rebounds</span></strong></td><td><span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>JV Assists</strong></span></td><td><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">JV Steals</span></strong></td><td><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">JV Blocks</span></strong></td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='3141056' first='Daschle' last='Lowery'] 8.8</td><td>Lundin 5.2</td><td>Bohnenberger 1.6</td><td>Lowery 1.7</td><td>Lundin 1.4</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2723975' first='Blake' last='Lundin'] 8.6</td><td>Sieber 4.8</td><td>Lowery 1.3</td><td>Bohnenberger 1.3</td><td>Severin 0.8</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2550489' first='Lane' last='Sieber'] 8.6</td><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2562407' first='Trey' last='Severin'] 4.1</td><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2562401' first='Caden' last='Bohnenberger'] 5.4</td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></tbody></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontSize":"30px"}}} --> <p style="font-size:30px"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Titans Schedule</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:table --> <figure class="wp-block-table"><table class="has-fixed-layout"><thead><tr><th>Date</th><th>Opponent</th><th>Home/Away</th><th>Location</th></tr></thead></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table --> <!-- wp:table --> <figure class="wp-block-table"><table class="has-fixed-layout"><tbody><tr><td>12/12/25</td><td>Huron</td><td>Home</td><td>Tea Area HS</td></tr></tbody></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table --> <!-- wp:table --> <figure class="wp-block-table"><table class="has-fixed-layout"><tbody><tr><td>12/18/25</td><td>Brookings</td><td>Home</td><td>Tea Area HS</td></tr></tbody></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table --> <!-- wp:table --> <figure class="wp-block-table"><table class="has-fixed-layout"><tbody><tr><td>12/20/25</td><td>Watertown</td><td>Away</td><td>Watertown HS</td></tr></tbody></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table --> <!-- wp:table --> <figure class="wp-block-table"><table class="has-fixed-layout"><tbody><tr><td>1/2/26</td><td>Douglas</td><td>Away</td><td>Douglas HS</td></tr></tbody></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table --> <!-- wp:table --> <figure class="wp-block-table"><table class="has-fixed-layout"><tbody><tr><td>1/3/26</td><td>Sturgis Brown</td><td>Away</td><td>Sturgis Brown HS</td></tr></tbody></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table --> <!-- wp:table --> <figure class="wp-block-table"><table class="has-fixed-layout"><tbody><tr><td>1/6/26</td><td>Sioux City North</td><td>Home</td><td>Tea Area HS</td></tr></tbody></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table --> <!-- wp:table --> <figure class="wp-block-table"><table class="has-fixed-layout"><tbody><tr><td>1/10/26</td><td>Storm Lake (Border Battle Challenge)</td><td>Neutral</td><td>Sanford Pentagon</td></tr></tbody></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table --> <!-- wp:table --> <figure class="wp-block-table"><table class="has-fixed-layout"><tbody><tr><td>1/13/26</td><td>Pierre T.F.
