Oliver is the sturdy presence down low for the Titans and a super important part of what they're able to do both on offense and defense. Olympus is very perimeter oriented on offense and Clarke fits right in. He can shoot it from the 3 when called upon and creates a lot of space for his teammates by cutting to the basket relentlessly. He's well developed already with his strength and conditioning and holds his own against every other big in the area. Huge impact player for a great team.

Sunderland was a consistent spark off the bench for Skyline last season. He can put the ball in the basket quick and efficiently. Last year he shot very well from the field, and there's hope to see that continue as he gets more volume this season. As a Sophomore last year, he was able to work his way into the Eagles system and play over 10 minutes a game. He should be a starter for them based on his display of talent last year and with that he should become a top scorer for the team.

Ries is a dominant force for this Highland team that finished one win short of the state championship last season. Returning for his Senior season I expect this kid to be on a mission. He's the Rams main source of energy and you can tell his teammates trust in him and his ability to take over a game at any time. Their leading scorer from last season is gone, and Head Coach Chris Jones will be leaning on his big man to show out this season. We could see a stat line of points in the high teens and double-digit rebounds for one of the best prospects in the state. A game to watch for sure will be Dec. 16th in their rematch with defending state champions Olympus and fellow big man Oliver Clark. Fireworks.

A talented wing that's got great potential. He'll be a Junior this year and most likely Woods Cross' best player. His handle has really improved over the offseason and that should translate to a lot easier baskets for this kid. He's got the athleticism to dominate on both sides of the ball once again. Excited to watch him more during the season and see how he handles being a go-to option in a stacked region again.

Zak is an important piece of the puzzle in Sandy at Alta High School. The backcourt mate to [player_tooltip player_id='1278438' first='Dash' last='Reiser'] from my last article, he was able to score 13.5 PPG last season which was 2nd on Alta. He's a sniper from 3 and a fun player to watch. He keeps the ball moving and only shoots when he's gotten to the spot that he wants. Great at getting around people and into tight spaces. Very comfortable with the ball and will be a calming presence for his team in high intensity moments.
