With the 2025-26 high school basketball season on the horizon, Class AAA is gearing up to spotlight a fresh wave of standout talent. Anticipation is high as these players look to elevate their programs and make a lasting impact. Here's a look at the Prep Hoops South Carolina Class AAA Preseason All-State Team, featuring athletes ready to shine this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2414074' first='Justin' last='Vining'] (Fox Creek) - [player_tooltip player_id='2414074' first='Justin' last='Vining'] starts off my Class AAA Preseason All-State Team at one of the Guard spots. I am a big fan of Justin's game, and I think this is the year where he fully catches the eyes of both the state and college coaches. He put up 13.2 Points Per Game and 5.0 Assists Per Game last year and will once again be one of the top playmakers in Class AAA. Fox Creek is also expected to be one of the best teams in the state, so that's why I have their Point Guard on a prestigious list like this.

[player_tooltip player_id='2746116' first='Nigel' last='Miller'] (Loris) - Similarly to Vining and Fox Creek, Miller is one of several talented players on a preseason favorite in Loris High School. Nigel was the Lions' leading scorer in 2024-25, but they do return their top 7 scorers from a year ago to this year's team. Miller puts a lot of pressure on the opposing rim with his determined driving ability, and the spacing around him is a key element to the offense as a whole. Keep an eye on Nigel to make a big jump this year and potentially lead Loris on a memorable run.

[player_tooltip player_id='2361714' first='Jonathan' last='Perry'] (Christ Church) - There are few Guards in Class AAA with as much of a winning resume as Jonathan. The two-time State Champ will again be looking to get the Cavaliers to the promised land, and you can see the pathway with what they return and the distribution of talent between Upper and Lower State. Christ Church is in a competitive region, so the #1 Seed will be important, placing a little more emphasis on the regular season for an excellent playmaker like Perry.

[player_tooltip player_id='2433116' first='Antoine' last='Caughman Jr'] (Keenan) - Antoine was a crucial piece to the State-Championship puzzle for the Keenan Raiders last year. Although he did average 11.6 Points Per Game in his Freshman Campaign, there was an argument for his playoff performances to be the reason why they won. Now, Caughman will go from mainly an off-ball, spot-up presence to a guy who has the ball in his hands frequently as a shot creator and the best player on a championship contender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2677202' first='Jordan' last='McGahee'] (Orangeburg-Wilkinson) - Rounding out the Prep Hoops South Carolina Class AAA Preseason All-State team is one of the premier interior presences in the class, [player_tooltip player_id='2677202' first='Jordan' last='McGahee']. McGahee put up 10.9 Points, 9.0 Rebounds, and 2.1 Blocks a game in 2024-25, and there's no reason not to expect more in 2025-26, given his size and athleticism advantage. Orangeburg-Wilkinson is always among the best of the best in 3A, and if they are again this year, Jordan is a big reason why.
