PICTURED: [player_tooltip player_id='2880037' first='Jacob' last='Williams']

Sunday's PrepHoops' The Expo featured dozens of the best prospects in Tennessee. Burton passed at a high level. Short and powerful. Brave in the open floor. In the last year Burton added strength to his frame. A farm lad, Burton puts in the work daily and there are few hours of leisure in his days. He was willing to get his chest in the way of dribblers. A hard-nosed, pesky perimeter defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2684683' first='Samuel' last='Plourde'] / Beech / 2027

9/28/25: Vocal. High basketball I.Q. Known as a strong shooter, Plourde's role initially was kind of secondary ball-handler. The team and he took a game to carve out roles. Preferred to face the basket and operated primarily as a wing guard. Persistent. Attacked and when his first strategy was denied he quickly created an alternative and then another. Judging by his sophomore season and this performance Sunday Samuel is prepared for score 10+ ppg for Beech High this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2880037' first='Jacob' last='Williams'] / James Lawson / 2027

9/28/25: Big, powerful post player. Solid touch around the rim. At times, excellent touch around the rim. Footwork was not elite, but certainly better than average for a high school big. Understood how to use his power without fouling. He can improve as a fighter for position. When he gets a guy on his back, Jacob is very difficult to guard. Sunday a defender here or there scrapped around him and dissuaded post feeders. With his strength and size Jacob is capable of keeping those pesky defenders on his backside, but it will take some significant work. The next step in his basketball evolution will be consistent 10-12' shooting.

[player_tooltip player_id='2898826' first='Tully' last='Parsley'] / Providence Christian Academy / 2029

9/28/25: Set a couple of screens with his hands out. Dunks everything around the rim. As a defender he can play against the "4" and "5" at the top high school level, but does not move laterally quick enough to check top wings away from the basket. Trey was best in the halfcourt. His handle is better than years' past and when he lowered the shoulder no attending defender was strong enough to keep him from slashing. The key to his game long-term will be ability to score off of the dribble and he did that in 3v3 regularly.
