This was a great opportunity to see a bunch of guys as they head into their season. Take a look at the players that made up Team 1. Jaylen electrified in both 3v3 and 5v5. Lefty with exceptional change of pace. Undersized point guard. Quick hands and clever basketball brain. Surprising bounce. Impartial fans loved watching him dash to the basket and soar. Maybe the best creator of his own shot during the first hour of 5v5. Prideful defender. His investment level was high throughout. Trouble guarding bigger guards as they gave him the shoulder and worked him inside. David will find it easier to score in traffic as he adds more good weight. Clearly some athleticism. Screening technique needs a lot of work. Defensive rebounding is a strength. He often gave a second and third effort rebounding. Hit an occasional three-pointer. Scrappy. Decent close-out technique. Contact does not rattle him though he will need to add good weight to absorb and finish. During 3v3 Isaiah was too handsy defensively. He'll need to rely more on footwork and a chest bump. His lower body balance reminds of Jax Howard (Webb Bell-Buckle graduate). Fudger finished well in traffic. Within the last six months Fudger gained a significant amount of good weight. Finn operates as a wing offensively but looks capable of scoring with his back to the basket too. No wasted movement. Clever player. Finn is one of those guys that seemingly always finds loose balls. Top 3 deep shooter in the gym. Incredible confidence and consistency as a shooter. Likes to throw the lob. Johns' 5v5 team featured several ball-handlers, so most Andrew's afternoon was spent awaiting a pass. Jack incorporated tricky moves at full speed all while scanning the court. He showcased a rare level of development for an incoming freshman. Constantly looked to push the basketball. Better than average change of direction. As only a freshman Jack was constantly able to gain a half-step on a defender.
