The Expo: New Jersey Team 1 Reports

The Expo New Jersey took place on Saturday with around 50 prospects taking part. Prospects had strong performances during the day, especially during the 5-on-5 sessions. Team 1 flashed during the team portions, but had strong showings during the 3-on-3 games. Here are reports on Team 1 from the Expo: New Jersey.    Belo had a tremendous day in both the 5-on-5 and 3-on-3 settings as opponents struggled to keep him out of the lane. The 6'4 wing used his quick first step to blow by his defender off the bounce and was able to finish through contact around the rim. Belo used his length to impact the game on the defensive end and pushed the pace well in transition. He ripped down offensive rebounds and showed a willingness to set screens in the half court. Belo forced shots in the half court, meaning his ability to find open teammates in the half court will help further his development this winter.     Brown flashed during the Expo as he showed his ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor. The 6'5 wing has a high release on his jumper and shot the ball with confidence from behind the arc. Brown was comfortable getting to the rim off the bounce and didn't mind drawing contact in the paint. He showed the ability to defend multiple positions on the floor and worked for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Brown's versatility is something that will raise his stock in a big way over the next couple of months.     Coleman shined during the 3-on-3 sessions as his team dominated throughout. The 6'1 guard was decisive with the ball in his hands as he made proper reads and rose up with confidence on his jumper. Coleman used his handle to get to his spot on the floor and moved well without the ball in his hands. He moved his feet well on the defensive end and showed the ability to play off the ball as well. Coleman's ability to play on and off the ball is something that will help his development throughout the course of the season.     Jones-Pinilla was part of Coleman's 3-on-3 team as they dominated their runs to start the Expo. The 6'0 guard was lethal with the ball in his hands as he threaded passes to his open teammates and got to his spot on the floor at will. Jones-Pinilla finished nicely around the basket and didn't force shots in the half court. He pushed the tempo well in transition and was able to generate turnovers on defense. Jones-Pinilla played with confidence during the day and should continue to play with confidence during the 2025-26 season.     Guzman Martinez missed part of the 3-on-3 sessions, but that didn't stop him from making his impact felt during the Expo. The 5'11 guard used his handle to blow by his defender off the bounce and finished well around the basket. Guzman Martinez wasted little motion in his release and shot the ball with confidence from behind the arc. He worked hard on the defensive end and was able to get open off the ball. Guzman Martinez has the potential to put up points in bunches, which he should put on display this upcoming season.     Dragone made his presence felt during the Expo as he was able to get into the lane with the ball. The 5'11 guard used his handle to blow by his defender off the bounce and knew how to finish around the rim. Dragone showed the ability to play both on and off the ball and rarely forced shots in the half court. He worked hard on the defensive end and showed a good release on his jumper. Dragone lacked confidence at times during the Expo, which is something he will have to play with throughout the course of the season.     Schadt had a sneaky good day at the Expo as he showed his ability to play at both ends of the floor. The 5'11 guard was able to use his handle to get to his spot on the floor and found his open teammates in the half court. Schadt was also able to score in the mid-range and rarely forced shots in the half court. He showed the ability to defend the ball on the perimeter and played off the ball as well. Schadt will be tasked with being more of a playmaker this season, which will help his development throughout the season.     Musleh had a good showing at the Expo as he made plays at both ends of the floor. The 5'10 guard used his handle to get to his spot on the floor and knew how to finish around the rim. Musleh moved well without the ball in his hands as he created space for himself within the flow of the offense. He worked hard on the defensive end and provided good leadership on the floor. Musleh has the ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor, which will help his stock throughout the course of the season.     Bissou was one of the top shooters at the event as he showed the ability to shoot either off the catch or bounce. The 5'9 guard rarely wasted motion in his release and made opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. Bissou did more than just shoot as he also pushed the pace well in transition and was able to find his open teammates in the half court. He fought for rebounds on both ends of the floor and slid his feet on the defensive end. Bissou is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should continue to torch the nets throughout the course of the season.     Halley was another prospect who showed his ability to stretch the floor, giving him a strong showing on the day. The 5'9 guard has a clean release on his jumper and shot the ball with confidence from behind the arc. Halley did more than just shoot as he also used his handle to get into the lane and rarely forced shots in the half court. He got deflections on the defensive end and moved well without the ball in his hands. Halley is a tough guard prospect whose ability to run the offense efficiently will help his stock throughout the course of the season.     Hall-Chiari came down from New England to attend the Expo and made his presence felt during the day. The 6'3 guard used his size to see over his defender and got to his spot on the floor during the day. Hall-Chiari finished nicely around the basket and was also able to score in the mid-range. He showed the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and moved well without the ball in his hands. Hall-Chiari is a lanky guard prospect who should impact the game at both ends of the floor throughout the course of the season.
