RCS Sports Super 16 Extravaganza Impact Players

The RCS Sports Super 16 Extravaganza was a massive high school basketball event that showcased talented teams from the surrounding Houston area and Dallas. In this article, I'll be highlighting some standout players who impacted games throughout the weekend!    I was able to watch [player_tooltip player_id='2461128' first='Braedon' last='Moton'] against Friendswood, who is a stretch forward out of Beaumont West Brook that displayed a reliable jump shot for his size especially off the dribble being able to shoot over defenders smaller than him. The shot making from him was a big offensive punch for his team, putting together an impressive performance. His activity on the glass was impactful on both ends especially defensively as he had a couple of offensive rebounds and putbacks off them securing second-chance points for his team. Defensively, he played in the paint well against other players his size.     [player_tooltip player_id='2556242' first='Gotti' last='Mack'] is a player I've been following for a few years who has consistently improved his skills. He's a versatile player who can contribute in various ways as the game progresses. During the Super 16 Extravaganza, he was on an offensive spree, scoring on all three levels. I was particularly impressed with his athletic finishing ability, as he reached the basket with a burst of speed. Even when he wasn't scoring, he demonstrated his passing prowess, setting up teammates for open shots in different situations. As the basketball season begins La Porte High School team will be one to watch.      [player_tooltip player_id='2557317' first='Aaron' last='Dixon'] is a crafty guard from Booker T. Washington High School, showcasing his basketball skills during the Super 16 Extravaganza against La Porte. He demonstrated finesse in finishing layups around interior defenders when approaching the basket. Additionally, he proved to be a reliable shooter off the dribble, creating numerous scoring opportunities. Dixon's fadeaway jump shots occasionally shifted the momentum in their favor against La Porte. Defensively, he hustles for any loose ball that comes his way and actively participates in the defensive press, resulting in steals and contributing to his high level of activity.      Daniel Green is the starting guard for Shadow Creek demonstrating effective communication with his teammates when initiating offensive possessions by bringing the ball up into the half court. Throughout multiple games, I had the opportunity to watch him play during the weekend he dictated the pace of the offense with the ball in his hands. His passing in the pick and roll was impressive when his teammates faded out, creating opportunities for shots on the perimeter. Offensively, Green excels at driving to the basket and occasionally makes perimeter shots when the chance arises.     Colton Callahan was a standout big man from Beaumont West Brook. I had the opportunity to watch him over the summer with the Gulf Coast Blue Chips but during the Super 16 Extravaganza he showcased his talent more prominently, taking the ball to the basket with greater frequency in the post. This past weekend, I witnessed his exceptional IQ as he adeptly maneuvered around the basket by understanding the athleticism of his opponents. His patience was evident as he skillfully avoided defenders attempting to block his shots. Colton's frame allows him to penetrate the paint effectively, converting inside shots with ease.
