Claxton is one of the best under-the-radar guards in the state and will bring back averages of 15.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game from a season ago. Toughness is the best word to describe Claxton — he competes hard on both ends of the floor despite his smaller size. He is a high-IQ guard that small schools would love to have on their roster next year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='1561096' first='Mar' last='Nicholson'] <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/damauri-crosby/"></a></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Along with Claxton, the Golden Bears return another senior who will play a major role this upcoming season. [player_tooltip player_id='1561096' first='Mar' last='Nicholson'] is one of the more intriguing prospects in the 2026 class due to his ability to create on the wing — both on and off the ball. He brings back 14.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game from a season ago and is expected to once again be a key factor in how the Golden Bears plan to play this year.
