A minor shakeup took place in the latest installment of the 2028 Tennessee player rankings. The time is now for the sophomore class.

A lot of eyes are going to be on this class.

There's going to be a lot to see here.

Here are 5 prospects that will have a lot of eyes on them in 2025:

[player_tooltip player_id='2194475' first='Braylon' last='Williams'], Bartlett: Williams was the only prospect to move up in the latest update. He moved up one spot to No. 5. Williams is the No. 1 point guard in the class. He had a solid freshman season for the Panthers and a productive AAU season with [program_tooltip program_id='2078772' first='Team' last='Thad'] 15U. Now, Williams will have an opportunity to lead Bartlett to a Class 4A state title. That's his ultimate goal. For it to become a reality, the 6-foot point guard will have to one of Bartlett's best players on a consistent basis.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194485' first='Joshua' last='Huggins'], Briarcrest: Huggins remains the No. 1 player in the class. He showed flashes of being the total package last season at Goodpasture. Now, he's playing in Division II-AA alongside senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1760996' first='Fred' last='Smith Jr']. and senior shooting guard and Air Force commit [player_tooltip player_id='1658056' first='Parker' last='Pounds']. Huggins is a 6-6 forward that can finish at the rim, make shots from the perimeter and take his defender off the dribble. He can be hard to keep off the boards. Huggins has upside. I think he's only going to get better.

[player_tooltip player_id='2841498' first='Luke' last='C. Smith'], McCallie: Smith is a big man with good footwork. He's also a 6-10 forward that can make shots from the perimeter. Smith has good touch around the rim. His high school team has other solid pieces on the roster, but his presence and production will be vital to the program's success in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194623' first='Miles' last='Alexander'], Cannon County: Alexander is the second point guard ranked inside the top 10. He's a three-level scorer that plays with a chip on his shoulder. Alexander plays as if he has yet to accomplish anything. He finishes well around the rim, can easily get to his spots, and shoots the ball well enough to be considered a threat. Alexander's numbers should be stellar this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2543986' first='James' last='Humphreys'], Brentwood Academy: If the Eagles want to be competitive all season and make a deep run in the postseason, the team's 6-8 forward will have to play well. Humphreys will need to block shots, alter shots, grab a ton of rebounds, and score efficiently at the rim on a nightly basis. The opportunities will be there for Humphreys as junior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2133797' first='Bryson' last='Wade'] and senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2194624' first='Eli' last='Brown'] will garner a lot of attention from opponents.
