In my last piece, I mentioned a handful of prospects in the 2027 class that are in position to have success in 2025.

And guess what? The junior class has more prospects with great opportunities in front of them.

Here's more from the junior class:

[player_tooltip player_id='2260983' first='Jamir' last='Dean'], Alcoa: Dean is a state champion. He's trustworthy in the biggest spots. The 6-foot-3 guard is a three-level scorer. Dean competes on every possession. He's going to sit down on defense. Dean has been productive so far in high school career. I don't expect him to take a step back in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='2291144' first='Cassius' last='Vaughn'], Southwind: Vaughn is a new addition to the Jaguars along with [player_tooltip player_id='1591000' first='Monterrio' last='Cox']. Both were on the Memphis East last season that made it to the quarterfinals round of the Class 4A state tournament. Southwind upgraded with both. Vaughn won't lead the team in scoring. [player_tooltip player_id='1760995' first='Ronald' last='Towns III'], a trustworthy senior, will probably lead the Jaguars in scoring and shot attempts. But Vaughn will offer toughness, ball handling, and experience.

[player_tooltip player_id='2281200' first='Jay' last='Kirk'], Alcoa: Kirk is another Tornado that's primed for a steady, productive 2025 season. The 6-5 prospect is one of the best wings in the class. Kirk can space the floor and make shots from the perimeter. If he's placed at positions 3-5, pencil Kirk in to have a productive day on the offensive end. Kirk has all-district and all-region honors written all over him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2655029' first='R.J.' last='Tate'], Arlington: Tate will be the Tigers' best guard this upcoming season. Outside of Bartlett's [player_tooltip player_id='2194475' first='Braylon' last='Williams'] and Houston's [player_tooltip player_id='2101889' first='Justin' last='Frison'], Tate will be the other guard to watch over the course of the season. He's a natural scorer with a good feel for the game. Tate is a reliable shotmaker and solid finisher around the rim. I expect him to lead Arlington in scoring and be in consideration for a nod on the 4A District 15 regular season team.

[player_tooltip player_id='2413439' first='Jayden' last='Jordan-James'], Arlington: Jordan-James should take eyes off of Tate many nights they're on the floor together. He's a 6-1 guard with outside shotmaking ability. Jordan-James will also help out with ball handling duties. He will have a golden opportunity this upcoming season. Jordan-James will need to be a double-digit scorer for the Tigers if they want a chance at battling Bartlett and Houston for the 4A District 15 crown.
