As the 2025-26 high school basketball season approaches, Class AA is set to showcase a new wave of talent ready to make their mark. With expectations high and excitement building, here's a look at the Class AA Preseason All-State Team, featuring players poised to lead their programs and make a major impact this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2307830' first='Charles' last='White Jr'] (Marion) - Leading off the Prep Hoops South Carolina Class AA Preseason All-State Team is [player_tooltip player_id='2307830' first='Charles' last='White Jr']. Charles is one of the most versatile players in the class and will be used all across the court in the Swamp Fox system. He stacked the stat sheet in 2024-25 with 12.8 Points Per Game, 5.2 Rebounds Per Game, 2.7 Assists Per Game, and 2.4 Steals Per Game, but I expect all of those numbers to rise with more usage in 2025-26.

[player_tooltip player_id='2459702' first='Kendrick' last='Jackson'] (Liberty) - The Red Devils were last year's "Cinderella Story" in South Carolina High School Basketball, getting into the playoffs as the five seed in Region 1 but winning three straight road playoff games to get to the Upper State Championship. They return all but one player - albeit a very important player - but if Kendrick is able to continue his hot play from the summer, he will likely see an increase in his individual numbers and his team's regular-season success.

[player_tooltip player_id='1848084' first='Antwon' last='Young'] (York Prep) - Young is one of the most physically imposing Senior Wings in the state. At 6'6", he has both positional size and elite strength to help him dominate smaller opponents. Antwon has been All-Region in the past three seasons and was All-State in his Junior Season, so with another offseason to get stronger and improve his game, it would be a surprise not to see Young back on this list come March.

[player_tooltip player_id='2457406' first='Eli' last='Brown'] (Chesnee) - Eli was last year's Class AA Player of the Year, averaging 21.4 Points Per Game, 5.7 Rebounds Per Game, and 4.5 Assists Per Game. Brown is a difficult matchup because of how well-rounded his game is, and it wouldn't be shocking to see him record a triple-double this season. The Eagles did lose two starters from last year's team, but they have a true "Big 3" led by Eli that is one of the most fun units to watch in the Upstate.

[player_tooltip player_id='1679972' first='J'sean' last='Sanders'] (High Point) - [player_tooltip player_id='1679972' first='J'sean' last='Sanders'] rounds out the Prep Hoops South Carolina Class AA Preseason All-State Team. Sanders is the only non-Senior on the team, but he does happen to be the third Region 1 player. J'Sean is an elite athlete who patrols the paint on both ends of the floor at 6'7". During his Sophomore Season, Sanders led the Grizzlies with 15.5 Points Per Game, 7.6 Rebounds Per Game, and 2.1 Blocks Per Game to the Class AA State Championship Game.
