We had approximately 65 Sophomores through Seniors in the gym at MidAmerica East on Sunday afternoon, including several of the top Sophomores in the state. Here are evaluations for the Team 7 roster that I was able to watch on Sunday.

Tharpe was a very solid prospect who shined in catch and shoot situations on Sunday. Jeffersontown is a very deep team but DaJuan could earn some playing time this year with his ability to provide consistent three point shooting. Long term, Tharpe is a couple more inches away from being a top shooting guard/combo guard in the Sophomore class, thanks to his skill set.

A very fundamental player, Lincoln showed that he has a lot of tools and shows a high basketball IQ for only being a freshman. Moore should push for a varsity role for the Warhawks this season and will help contribute to winning with his ability to check all the boxes on both ends of the court with his versatility.

Sunday was my first time seeing Hill play and he showed that he is a competent playmaker with the ball in his hands and isn't afraid to get a quick three up when he's playing off the ball. Trinity is known for their tenacious defense and Sutton showed that in stretches at camp as well. I'm not sure how Trinity will look this season but I would think Hill can earn some time on the court.

An unknown name coming into camp, the only knock I have on Martell is that he played on the wrong team all day. Other than that, Tuttle had a great day. He showed a good motor and that he knows how to compete on both ends of the court. Martell has great length and is capable of switching across multiple positions on the defensive end. He's definitely a name to monitor this season.

Delaney is a name that I have heard but never seen before Sunday. Coming out of the camp, Colton showed that he has good skill level both in the paint and around the perimeter. While he's a little bit of a "tweener" right now, position wise, Delaney looks like he could be a big wing or stretch 4 if he grows a couple more inches or gets quicker laterally. Keep an eye on him this season for Letcher Central.

Lockridge had one of the more impressive stretches in 5 on 5 play when he drilled multiple three pointers off the bounce in a row. One of the camp coaches called John "high school Steph" which is a little crazy but he was really impressive in the first game and looked like an elite shot maker. Lockridge has a very thin frame and needs to get stronger overall but he's got skills.

Christian was a late addition to camp and was stuck playing out of position a little bit due to the amount of guards on his team but when he was able to play with the ball in his hands, he showed he's a capable playmaker and is able to get paint touches and finish or kick the ball out to teammates. Shively also has the potential to be a really solid on ball defender.

Avery was one of the smallest prospects at camp but he's also very scrappy and didn't back down from anyone. Mozee is capable of wreaking havoc on opposing ball handlers by applying pressure for 94 feet. On a team full of guards, Avery didn't get to showcase a ton of offense but his impact was felt on the defensive end as much as anything.
