Sophomore ID Camp – Team 4 Player Evaluations

<p>The Sophomore ID Camp was a must attend and must see camp! There were quality players at every level and at every position. He was a sound and solid passer that was willing to move the ball quickly. Albring was very solid defensively! He used quick hands to swipe the ball from his man and that steal turned into a layup on the other end.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Van Engen showed up to the gym ready to play last weekend. I really liked when he played aggressively and without fear when the ball was in his hands. Van Engen was able to put the ball on the ground, go at his defender, and at least once drew a foul.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Chase made the most of his day in Grand Rapids. Offensively, he did a nice job initiating contact and then playing off of it. I really liked Chase's attention to detail on the defensive end of the floor. He did a great job stepping over and playing help D on the perimeter.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Beimers-Helbich made a statement loud and clear. I loved the fact that he was willing to lead with his defense and let it speak about his game. Beimers-Helbich was a big time defensive factor. He moved laterally very well and was able to provide help. Beimers-Helbich altered shots with verticality and length.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Andrews impressed last year at the Freshman Showcase and he backed it up shining again at the Sophomore ID Camp. He's a fearless shooter with a quick release that's tough to defend. Andrews showed that he can connect on a catch and shoot 3 in rhythm.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Dickerman turned some heads at the Sophomore ID Camp. He played with effort and energy and made plays because of it. Dickerman showed versatility on both ends of the floor. This was evident in his ability to defend all over the floor.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Burch showed out at the camp last weekend. I liked his willingness to sacrifice for his team. Scouts and coaches notice toughness and Burch had that. He proved that he was willing to hit the floor for lose balls.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Wright caught a lot of people's attention in Grand Rapids last weekend. His ability to handle the ball stood out to me the most. When facing pressure, he kept the ball low, minimizing it's air time and turnover potential. Wright did a good job protecting it with his off hand.</p>
