The best returning players on each team of Section 8AA are profiled today (assuming we have the information to do it of course).

Barnesville

Grant Quiggle (2026). I got a chance to look at some Grant film recently and he's a player I really like. An excellent creator, the timing of his ball movement/setting up the pass was something that really caught my eye. He is a six foot combo guard that will need to score more now that Bolgrean has graduated.

[player_tooltip player_id='2434185' first='Major' last='Ness'] (2026). The only other junior that played in the Barnesville rotation last year was the 6'2 speedy and strong [player_tooltip player_id='2434185' first='Major' last='Ness']. Ness came off the bench a season ago and he's a strong football prospect committed to Valley City State.

Crookston

[player_tooltip player_id='2841049' first='Reggie' last='Winjum'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2076005' first='West' last='Central Wildcats']). Reggie, aka Rylan Pickle at times, Winjum had a really good 17u season impressing as a main scoring option for his team. Reggie is a very smooth shot creator at 6'2 and 175 pounds that led Crookston in scoring last year and is on my list of guys to watch when it comes to having monster senior years scoring the ball. With everybody else gone from the rotation Reggie will be counted on even more. He's already a two time all conference player. Reggie is also the goalie for his soccer team.

Logan Ehlert (2026). Logan is one of many junior varsity players that will be seniors that need to step up. Logan is a 6'2 three sport athlete that plays with speed and got some varsity time.

DGF

[player_tooltip player_id='2447446' first='Mason' last='Bjerken'] (2026). Mason is a combo guard at 5'11 that scored in double figures last season and should move into a big role this winter. DGF looks to have lost two of their three best players.

East Grand Forks

[player_tooltip player_id='2420039' first='Chase' last='Lindgren'] (2026). Chase is a 6'1 guard that has been named all league the last two seasons and has the experience to team with Carson to make EGF the preseason favorite in 8AA heading into the winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2420045' first='Carson' last='McDonald'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2076003' first='West' last='Central United']). McDonald is a wing scorer at 6'1 who is also a two time all league player that scores with both his skill and his athleticism. Carson scored 20 points per game last year scoring on 54 percent of his attempts and 35 percent of his threes. Active scorer that produced inside and out for WCU this 17u season.

Hawley

Jacon Schneck (2026). A 6'2 wing that is the top returning scorer for Hawley after putting up 6/7 points per game a season ago. A good football prospect as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2423156' first='Matthew' last='Crompton'] (2027). A reserve scorer last year at 6'2 that also scored three baskets a game and will step into a bigger role.

Osakis

Trenton VanNyhuis (2026). Trenton is a 6'1 physical player that is used in a lot of defensive ways plus he scored in double figures last season. Trenton is a 6'3 190 pound forward that won the state title last year in the triple jump.

[player_tooltip player_id='2841051' first='Andrew' last='Jones'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2076003' first='West' last='Central United']). A disruptive defensive player that leads the team as a 6'1 lead guard as well. A guy that guys loved to play with because he backs up leadership with his defense, and he attacks the defense with the ability to open up space for teammates.

Park Rapids

Carter Hirt (2026). Carter is one of two returning all league players back for the Panthers and both are good football prospects as well. Carter is a D3 football player at 6'1 190 pounds that will team with Parker to give them two returning scorers on the hardwood.

Parker Hunter (2026). Parker is a statewide ranked football prospect that is headed to Minnesota State-Moorhead for his football career in college. He's also an All league basketball player that scored in double figures last season as a 6'2 wing producer.

Perham

[player_tooltip player_id='2426406' first='Cypress' last='Thiel'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2076003' first='West' last='Central United']). Thiel is a player I have my eye on as a prospect as well. He is a 6'4 forward that is skilled and agile. He will physically come at a player on the attack and can score over the top physically or with his speed to get to a short jumper. Scored in double figures last year on average, I think he has a big season coming.

[player_tooltip player_id='2434181' first='Nathan' last='Rustad'] (2026). Rustad has a good looking shot that he's able to work his way to nearly any time his team needs it. One of two returning double figure scores for Perham last year, Rustad is expected to have a big senior season.

Roseau

[player_tooltip player_id='2126146' first='Jordan' last='Borowicz'] (2027). Jordan is on pace to be a four year all league guy. As a sophomore he put up 24 points, seven rebounds and 4.5 assists per game shooting 45 percent from the field. A really good football prospect but a 5'11 scorer on the court that teams have a lot of trouble slowing down.

Aiden Evitts (2026). Aiden was the third leading scorer a season ago at 8.6 points per game with five boards a night. Should step into the role of secondary scorer for HS team.

Thief River Falls

[player_tooltip player_id='2121389' first='Bridger' last='Wilcox'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2076003' first='West' last='Central United']). Bridger scored 22 points, with seven rebounds, four assists and two steals a game last year as a junior. A 6'1 guard that I was impressed with during the 17u season, Bridger will be a three time all league player.

Jett Cornelius (2026). Jett is one of the few returning players that we could find that helped the varsity last year in addition to Wilcox. I am guessing his listed size at four feet tall and 350 pounds is wrong but that is what I see.

Warroad

Luke Billingsley (2026). The top returning scorer that we can see for Warroad, Luke is a 6'3 forward.

Brady Fast (2027). Fast is a six foot guard that came off the bench last season and is likely next in line for a bigger role.
