Who are the top returning players that will be in Section 1AAA this year? We give you the names!

Austin

[player_tooltip player_id='2381757' first='Cole' last='Hebrink'] (2026, Minnesota Lightning). Cole scored 19 points a game last year and will be one of the better shooters in the section and maybe class. With Austin returning so much experience that knows how to defend as a full court zone unit, with an offense that has shooters, Hebrink is going to have some huge winter nights scoring the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='2381766' first='Xzayveun' last='Severin'] (2027). Severin scored 11 a game last year and when we saw him play with Austin in the Breakdown events this summer, Severin excelled. With Hebrink on one side, and Xzayveun shooting on the other, this is a dangerous duo. A preseason All Big Nine level player.

J'dan Stevens (2027). Stevens is that guy that is going to do a lot of the passing and attacking that moves the ball to those shooters. Stevens will score, he averaged ten points a game, but he's a quick player that is very good using his speed to move the ball with the attack.

Byron

[player_tooltip player_id='1560862' first='Fisher' last='Kruckeberg'] (2026, Minnesota Rise). Fisher is one of the few Byron players that was in the rotation last year that returns for Byron. He had a nice season for the Rise this 17u season and he was a 12 point per game scorer as a junior making 41 percent of his threes. Add in that Fisher is one of the best players in the state at taking a charge, and you have one of the best players in the section.

[player_tooltip player_id='2869530' first='Hayden' last='Landswerk'] (2026, Minnesota Rise). Hayden was the 6th/7th man last year as a strong, 6'2 forward worker off the bench. Hayden scored four points a game with four boards a contest. Now Hayden steps into a big role as a senior.

Elijah Rodemeyer (2027). Elijah was a reserve player last year coming off the bench with Landwerk. Elijah was the one underclassmen in the rotation a season ago. Also a quality quarterback.

Ryan has committed to Loyola Chicago and is one of the top big men in the state of Minnesota. Ryan led the Falcons to one of the best seasons in many years last year and now his goal is to help the Falcons get to the state tournament. A 6'5/6'6 forward that plays hard, plays active, and is a talent that teammates love to compete with. A top returning scorer and rebounder in the Big Nine, Breuer will team with Kreager to give Faribault one of the best frontcourts in the state.

Brandon Petricka (2026). Fair or unfair, a lot of the Faribault season is going to depend on how the Falcon guards play this year and the first name that you come to is Brandon. Brandon played in that 8th man role last year and he will step into a key role this winter along with some players from the JV.

Kasson-Mantorville

He was the 6th leading scorer on the team last year at a couple baskets a game, and he is the most productive returning player from the KoMets. Vincent is the key player for the future.

Logan Inman (2026). This 6'4, 210 pound forward is a home run hitter in baseball and the top returning player up front for KM on the hardwood. Played in the rotation last year scoring a couple buckets a contest.

The other bench player coming back, Nolan also scored a couple baskets a game off the bench last season and will now move into a big role. Skilled guard that is also considered a huge part of the KoMets future along with Pocius. This is a talented guard that will help this team be good but it will take some time.

Northfield

[player_tooltip player_id='1521424' first='Kayden' last='Oakland'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury']).

JT Graupmann (2026). JT is an All State baseball player, an excellent football player, and a hooper that scored over seven points a game last season. He's a 6'2 guard that is strong and one of the better players that has basketball as a third sport that you will find.
