Preseason Player of the Year: 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2906418' first='Mason' last='Camden'] (East Mills)

The Corner Conference looks pretty open heading into the season, with the usual suspects (East Mills, Bedford) losing quite a bit of production to graduation. That said, Camden returns for the Wolverines and will be the focal point for the team that likely opens the year as the team to beat.

First Team

2026 [player_tooltip player_id='2731804' first='Isaiah' last='Sholes'] (Essex): 20.2 points, 13.3 rebounds, 2.0 steals, 5.1 blocks, 50.1 FG%

The Trojans won just four games last season, but Sholes, a 6-3 big man, was absolutely dominant and will be once again in his senior year. His 5.1 blocks per game was tops in the state.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2906418' first='Mason' last='Camden'] (East Mills): 15.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.9 steals

An athletic wing who can do a little bit of everything, Camden led the Wolverines in scoring as a sophomore and will be an even bigger focal point of the attack as a junior following the graduations of the next three scorers.

2026 Mason Reed (Fremont-Mills): 13.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals, 1.4 blocks

Reed was a nightly threat to record a double-double last season and will be in line to do so as a senior for the Knights, who should contend for the league title. At 6-2/6-3, he's a tough, physical forward with great hands.

2026 Keith Thompson (Hamburg): 15.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 3.9 steals

The Wildcats won just five games last season, but Thompson was a standout, stuffing the stat sheet on both ends of the floor. He'll pair with the next player on this first team to give Hamburg one of the top duos in the conference, and they should be improved as a result.

2027 Gabe Staley (Hamburg): 13.5 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.0 steals

Staley nearly averaged a double-double last season for the Wildcats and will pair with Thompson to give them a dynamic duo. He can score effectively around the rim and is a force on the glass on both ends of the floor.
