Abnormally, Tennessee imported two players in the Top 10 instead of relinquishing a star to another state's basketball factory. [player_tooltip player_id='1593831' first='Christian' last='Gibson'], along with [player_tooltip player_id='2955801' first='Mason' last='Williams'], provide Tennessee Collegiate Academy with their very first seniors. Junior star [player_tooltip player_id='2291122' first='Dylan' last='Jones'] left Bartlett's juggernaut to join the same.

[player_tooltip player_id='1659513' first='Christopher' last='Washington Jr.'] survives another cycle atop the Mountain of Talent. Peach Jam Champion [player_tooltip player_id='1560719' first='Trey' last='Pearson'] is surely good for several more climbs, hoping to knock Washington Jr. off the summit. Gibson is good enough to overtake both though he will be nearly invisible to TSSAA followers. [player_tooltip player_id='2955801' first='Mason' last='Williams'] is the son of Maurice "Mo" Williams, former NBA star.

Former 2024 State Champion and former 2024 State Tournament MVP [player_tooltip player_id='1760996' first='Fred' last='Smith'] and his father no longer help Briarcrest Christian's program. Will they stay in Tennessee? Probably. Maybe. Unclear.

State Champion [player_tooltip player_id='1277259' first='Cam' last='Swearengen'] holds at #5. If anybody outside this Top 5 can join it is former TSSAA State Champion [player_tooltip player_id='1549096' first='MJ' last='Hayes'], returning from Texas.

Newbies

The first week of September we updated the Class of 2026 rankings and added the following players.

[player_tooltip player_id='2876404' first='Lukas' last='Phillips'] / Cannon County / Shooting Guard

After a strong July camping at Bryan College [player_tooltip player_id='2876404' first='Lukas' last='Phillips'] learned he earned the offer September 2nd. The senior makes his debut in the Top 220 thanks to his committed defense and willingness to raise up regardless of who is defending him. Phillips looks to be a small college combo guard, probably at the NAIA level. Hard-worker. Strong performance in the classroom. Dedicated.

[player_tooltip player_id='2955848' first='Brock' last='Wissmar'] / Ravenwood / Power Forward

Hulking rebounder and post scorer [player_tooltip player_id='2955848' first='Brock' last='Wissmar'] makes his PrepHoopsTN debut. The program will be fresh thanks to a coaching change. Currently, Wissmar weigh 219 pounds and none of that is flab. The dude continues to be rock solid and abnormally strong for a high school senior. High-academic post threat.

[player_tooltip player_id='1296308' first='Reid' last='Conley'] / Chattanooga Prep / Point Guard

Former PrepHoopsTN Combine talent [player_tooltip player_id='1296308' first='Reid' last='Conley'] returns to his native Chattanooga from Moravian Prep. He suited up for 2-time State Champions Chattanooga Prep at BCAT Hoopfest in June and it appears that he will stick with them for his senior season. Conley is skilled, jet-quick, and confident. UT Martin offered him way back in December of 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id='2895440' first='Adam' last='Barrouk'] / Hamilton Heights Christian Academy / Forward

When our state adds a big man of 6-foot-7+ it is invariably a big deal. Quebecois Barrouk stands 6-foot-8. You will have to catch him in the handful of scrimmages HHCA plays against local teams as most of their schedule is against out-of-state squads. Long Island University offered him July 1st.

[player_tooltip player_id='1570497' first='D'Nharayane' last='Vital'] / Tennessee Collegiate Academy / Center

TCA intends to play a national schedule where size is imperative and not a luxury few teams feature. Vital gives that size to the program. Though raw his potential is medium high.

[player_tooltip player_id='2886051' first='Isaiah' last='Grant'] / Whitehaven / Forward

Strong. Fit. [player_tooltip player_id='2886051' first='Isaiah' last='Grant'] is one of several new faces for Whitehaven's Head Coach Willie Kemp, a program with big dreams in 2025-2026. Grant might start for a unusually tall frontline. Starting spots are likely to go to [player_tooltip player_id='2886050' first='Idris' last='Abubakar'], [player_tooltip player_id='1762918' first='Bosah' last='Louis Onwuta'], and Isaiah. Might change. [player_tooltip player_id='2205018' first='Gavin' last='Fitzpatrick'] is very good and plays forward too. Truthfully, Bosah is probably the only one assured of his spot because he defends the rim at an elite level as their center.
