There was a lot of movement in the 2026 Tennessee player rankings.

Here's a handful of notable prospects that saw a boost in the latest update:

[player_tooltip player_id='2307628' first='Sydney' last='Thompson'], Bartlett: Thompson had a solid spring/summer for [program_tooltip program_id='2078772' first='Team' last='Thad'] 16U that caught the attention of college programs. Thompson moved up 12 spots to No. 71. He's a pest on defense, and he's a guard that can quickly provide a spark on offense. He's not afraid to play pivotal minutes in a meaningful contest. Thompson has done it all throughout his high school career.

[player_tooltip player_id='2797237' first='Carey' last='McClain Jr.'], Kirby: McClain made a huge leap, up 19 spots to No. 55. This was due in large part to his productive junior season in Class 3A. McClain is a gifted scorer, with the ability to score at all three levels. I mentioned before that McClain is a prospect college programs should recruit. After another productive season, coaches will have to take a look at McClain, right?

[player_tooltip player_id='2869668' first='Cole' last='Winters'], Beech: Winters moved up 69 spots to No. 126. Winters is going to take a lot of attention off of [player_tooltip player_id='2439013' first='Cutter' last='Sisk'] in 2025. Winters is a 6-5 shooting guard with a good shooting release and solid ball handles. He communicates on the floor, which is a plus. He's not afraid to bang in the paint for a rebound. Winters knows how to finish around the rim. If he finishes his high school career with a bang, Winters will end up somewhere in the top 100.

[player_tooltip player_id='1591000' first='Monterrio' last='Cox'], Southwind: Cox has had a resurgence on the backend of high school career. Just last season, he led Memphis East to the quarterfinals round of the Class 4A state tournament. Cox will look to do the same for the Jaguars. He has the mindset and drive to lead Southwind. Cox, who moved up from No. 101 to No. 79, has three key traits of a floor general: great communication, solid court vision, and defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1834842' first='Michael' last='Fisch'], Father Ryan: Fisch made his way inside the top 70 at No. 68. The 6-3 guard can be efficient and effective without taking a lot of shots. Fisch moves well without the basketball. He can play both guard spots. Fisch is a three-level scorer and should be on college programs' radar. He's playing in DII-AA and will standout in 2025. Fisch could be a dark horse candidate for Mr. Basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1827388' first='Adrian' last='Sevieri'] (up 3 spots to No. 118), [player_tooltip player_id='1923548' first='Jackson' last='McCutcheon'] (up 4 spots to No. 95), and [player_tooltip player_id='2351063' first='Turner' last='Clayton'] (up 4 spots to No. 115) were also stock-risers in the latest update. Like I have said many times before, there's plenty of talent in the 2026 class across the state.
