Hazelett moved into the state over the summer to team up with [player_tooltip player_id='2105360' first='Lincoln' last='Williams'] for a top 5 duo. Hazelett is a face up four that has some bounce around the hoop, can take his man off the dribble, and is a switchable defender. He will be headed back to his home state for college as he committed to attend Indiana State this past week.

Kirkpatrick has been a rock solid lead guard and scorer for the last two seasons. Good decision maker that brings toughness, handle, and shot making to the table. He had a lot of interest from high academic programs and ultimately made the call to go to Princeton.

Danforth was one of the earlier commitments in the 2026 class making his call to go to North Dakota State. They are getting an athletic two guard that can really shoot it from deep and has improved his ability to win off the bounce as well as passing.

Woo was stellar in June with his high school team consistently throwing dimes and putting up 15-20 points a game. Soft touch? Check! Mid-range pull up? For sure! Three ball off catch or creating on his own? He certainly has that as well! High IQ guard had a lot of academic schools involved and went with Brown for his future home.

Pollack started off the Ivy League commitments with his decision to go to Dartmouth. The Deerfield big man is a lefty that garners excellent positioning around the hoop, has touch, rebounds in his area, and can stretch it on occasion.

Wright was the most recent commitment making his announcement late this past week staying in-state at Eastern Illinois. Big time shot maker as a lead guard that can play both on and off the ball. We saw significant growth in his ability to run a team with his pinpoint passing during June with Benet and feel that is going to bring value right away to EIU.

The Salukis are keeping one of the best players in southern Illinois home as Southern Illinois got a commitment from this Pinckneyville big man last week. Highly skilled post that is an elite passer on the block and out of the high post. He has sound footwork and touch scoring in this post. One of the best players in 2A! Selected SIU over UNC-Pembroke, UT-Martin, McKendree, and North Dakota State.

There are several other ranked hoopers who have made their college decisions for other sports. This is a historic basketball/football crossover class with top 100 basketball prospects headed to college for football in Nasir Rankin (Morgan Park – Illinois), JC Anderson (Mt. Zion – Ole Miss), Davon Grant (Dekalb – Illinois), Tony Balanganayi (Palatine – Illinois), and Max Carmicle (Hillcrest – Purdue). Columbia power forward Brody Landgraf is committed to Creighton for baseball as one of the top 5 players on the diamond in the state.
