Summer Sleepers: 2026 Guards

Check out six guards from the 2026 class who impressed this summer. These guys all have shown some improvements in their game, but most importantly, they can provide toughness and shot-making that make them valuable players heading into the winter season.    Looks like he'll fill a big role for Glacier Peak this winter, whether that is off the bench or in the starting five doesn't really matter because he brings energy all the time and can fill in the gaps with his effort. Good on-ball defender who can force pickups and get his hands in on the ball. Tough at the rim, knows how to create and absorb contact, and makes a big difference with hustle plays.     Just a tough-minded and physical guard who will attack opposing players on both ends. Shoots a good percentage from behind the arc and can be a real momentum stealer when he gets going. Plays both guard spots; his strength matches his competitiveness, and he's a vocal leader on the floor.     He's a guard who can space the floor and fill some different roles offensively. Can get going from distance but also plays with an edge and toughness that helps him get into some gaps and create paint touches. Plays tough on the defensive end too and really brings good energy and a big motor to the court.     Quick little guard who has shown a lot to like this summer with his shot-making and ability to score in bunches. Very good at separating with stop-and-go, good pull-up shooter, and plays with some great pace with the ball. Adds a very different look in Kentwood's backcourt and could be a key guy for them to bring some different pace and scoring to the floor.     Berg is a kid who lives in the gym and has really developed into a reliable threat from 3-point range. He has the tools to be a big factor for White River this winter, whether it is helping to run the point, being a tenacious on-ball defender, or using his underrated athleticism at the rim. He's a kid who has put in the work and should have a good winter to show for it.     Really impressed with his play this summer. Can be all his team needs at point guard, creating off the dribble, getting downhill motion, and setting up teammates with good vision. But he has really stood out for his perimeter shooting and ability to create space around the arc. Has been excellent from 3-point range and also has a pretty solid midrange game off the dribble.
