<p>The July live period of the 2025 NCAA recruiting calendar came to a close last month, and it didn't disappoint. Throughout New Jersey, a number of class of 2027 prospects delivered standout performances—particularly at the wing and forward positions—boosting their reputations and distinguishing themselves from the competition. With the evaluation window now over, it's the perfect time to spotlight some of the 2026 wings and forwards who made a lasting impact in recent weeks.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2858267' first='Oscar' last='Martinez'] possesses an interesting combination of strength and athleticism at his size and often times uses those physical traits to get in the paint and finish through contact at the basket, and that was on full display throughout the two July live periods. Martinez also demonstrated his ability to be a threat from three point range— catching fire from the perimeter and knocking down open threes both off the catch and off the dribble. Martinez also used his positional size to contribute on the defensive end as a versatile defender and a tenacious rebounder.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Demonstrating what makes Buley a unique prospect at his size, [player_tooltip player_id='2421370' first='David' last='Buley'] strung together a pair of solid weekends during both July live periods that showcased his inside outside game. On the interior, Buley did a good job of scoring out of the low post and being effective as a roller in PnR, catching lobs from penetrating guards, running the floor in transition, and contributing on the offensive glass. In terms of out on the perimeter, Buley, a nice pick and pop threat, also showcased his ability to stretch the floor and shoot it from three point distance. Buley was also effective on the defensive end as switchable defender while also using his length to be an intimidating factor around the basket on shot attempts. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Though still developing, [player_tooltip player_id='2201948' first='Asante' last='Jones'] showed clear signs of progress in his overall offensive game. He had standout moments where he displayed his touch around the rim on putbacks, his ability to attack downhill off the dribble, his face-up skills, and his back-to-the-basket scoring. Defensively, Jones also made an impact, using his length and athleticism to be an intimidating presence on that end of the floor.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">An aggressive downhill attacker, [player_tooltip player_id='2327063' first='Jason' last='Whitlock']'s ability to attack the basket unlocked plenty of offense for him throughout the course of both July live periods. Whitlock's aggressive approach in getting downhill not only allowed him to finish around the basket but also generate ample trips to the free throw line. Whitlock also contributed in the rebounding department, crashing both the offensive and defensive glass consistently and rebounding the basketball well for his position. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2628248' first='Terrance' last='Jamison'] put together a pair of impressive showings during the two July live periods that showcased his ability to not only effectively rebound the basketball but also finish strong around the rim. Possessing a relentless motor in combination with his athletic ability, Jamison demonstrated his ability to contribute on both the offensive and defensive glass. With every showing, Jamison also seems to get more and more comfortable putting the ball on the floor and attacking closeouts and on ball defenders. Defensively, Jamison also showcased his ability to be a versatile defender and guard multiple positions.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">A strong and physical presence on the interior for the [program_tooltip program_id='2078573' first='NJ' last='Beasts'], [player_tooltip player_id='2628254' first='Sebastian' last='Rogers'] demonstrated his ability to use his size and length to impact the game on both ends of the floor. Rogers contributed on the offensive glass generating extra possessions while also showcasing his ability to be a strong finisher around the basket. On the defensive end, Rogers demonstrated his ability to rebound the basketball at a high level and use his length to alter and block shot attempts at the rim. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Beginning to grow into his own, [player_tooltip player_id='2202029' first='Luka' last='Kuqo'] had strong showings over the course of the July live period that saw him use his size and length to impact the game on the interior on both sides of the floor. Whether it was running the floor in transition and finishing above the rim or operating out of the dunker spot, Kuqo showcased his strong finishing ability around the basket. Defensively, Kuqo was much of himself as a rim protector— playing with good anticipation as a shot blocker altering shot attempts at the rim while also rebounding the ball effectively. </p>
