The first full week of August is here, meaning the new school year is right around the corner. The 2027 class is primed to take a big leap this season, especially in the front court. Here are the 2027 Group 2 forward prospects to track this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2407095' first='Zion' last='Green'], 6'9 PF Camden

Green is the highest ranked prospect in the 2027 class and should put his full game on display this season. The 6'9 forward has a good face-up game as he uses his handle to get to his spot on the floor and uses his size to rise up on his jumper. Green finishes strong above the rim and is able to draw contact in the paint. He uses his length to make an impact on the defensive end and is a solid rebounder. Green is a talented forward prospect whose ability to score inside and out will help him fill up the stat sheet in 2025-26.

[player_tooltip player_id='2628174' first='Kanye' last='Perkins'], 6'7 PF Middle Township

Perkins has the potential to have a breakout 2025-26 season as he should get more touches on the offensive end. The 6'7 forward can put the ball on the floor and knows how to finish around the rim. Perkins sets his feet before he shoots and is an underrated passer. He gets deflections on the defensive end and moves well without the ball in his hands. Perkins is a versatile forward prospect who should impact the game at both ends of the floor throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2443162' first='Chase' last='Martin'], 6'5 PF Bordentown

Martin was a force down low for the Terriers last season and should continue to be one during the 2025-26 season. The 6'5 forward uses his strong frame to get position down low and finishes through contact around the rim. Martin can also get to the rim off the bounce and sets good screens in the half court. He rips down rebounds at both ends of the floor and uses good timing to swat shots around the rim. Martin had three 20-10 games last season and should eclipse that number this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2619576' first='Logan' last='Cleveland'], 6'4 PF Manasquan

Cleveland had a big summer and is looking to carry that momentum over into the winter. The 6'4 forward runs the floor hard, giving himself opportunities for easy baskets in transition. Cleveland has the ability to play on the perimeter as he can get to the rim off the bounce and plays with good footwork in the post. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and holds his ground on the defensive end. Cleveland is a hard-working forward prospect whose non-stop motor will help his stock in a big way this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2628245' first='Andrew' last='Reim'], 6'2 SF/PF Delran

Reim has the ability to play either forward spot, which makes him an intriguing prospect to watch in the class. The 6'2 forward has a good first step, which he uses to get to the rim off the bounce and finishes well around the rim. Reim is more than just a shooter as he has a nice release on his jumper and can make opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. He works hard on the glass and is an underrated defender. Reim had three double-doubles last season and is looking to eclipse those numbers early during his junior campaign.
