The PrepHoops Oregon Freshman Showcase took place on Sunday morning, and many of the state's top incoming high school players were at the Beaverton Hoop YMCA for some high-level competition. This week, we review our scouting notes for each roster and break down this vast crop of talent, player by player. Here's a look at Team Nine:

[player_tooltip player_id='2889601' first='Xavier' last='Singh'] (2029 Sunset) – A tough and confident player who consistently attacked the rim and made the extra pass. Singh hustled for loose balls, kept plays alive, and showed impressive speed on both ends.

[player_tooltip player_id='2907739' first='Faisal' last='Algayyim'] (2029 Beaverton) – A skilled shooter and communicator who elevated his team with unselfish play. Algayyim could handle the ball, thrive in pick-and-roll situations, and heat up from deep when he got into a rhythm. He was one of the more underrated guards we saw at the Freshman Showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='2947236' first='Hudson' last='Francetich'] (2029 Lakeridge) – Hudson, a big-time shooter with deep range who impressed us during the 3x3 competition. A good athlete, Francetich ran the floor well in transition, attacked the rim, and displayed confidence as both a ball handler and passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2948766' first='Banks' last='Whittle'] (2029 Lincoln) – Played with great patience and composure, taking care of the ball and making smart decisions. Whittle hit mid-range shots, finished with his left hand, and found teammates with the extra pass.

[player_tooltip player_id='2949283' first='Briksen' last='Pavlak'] (2029 South Umpqua) – A hustle player who brought energy and vision, always looking to find open teammates and making effort plays that helped his team.

[player_tooltip player_id='2949746' first='Josiah' last='Curtis'] (2029 West Salem) – Showed a smooth offensive game with strong finishes at the rim and a clean shooting stroke from deep. Curtis fit seamlessly as a team player while stretching the floor with his range.

[player_tooltip player_id='2950732' first='James' last='Stanley'] (2029 Lincoln) – James made his presence felt on the boards and with his defensive activity. Stanley provided timely buckets, scoring at the rim and knocking down key threes, while staying calm under pressure.

Kaden Bailey (2029 Benson) – A 6'2 slasher who plays with confidence on both ends. Showed good vision as a passer and made timely shots to keep his team in rhythm. Attacked the rim aggressively with the ability to finish using either hand. Active on the glass, especially on the offensive end, creating second-chance opportunities. Bailey brings a well-rounded presence as a scorer and playmaker.
