A dominating weekend for the Stars. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] Sabin finished their season with 28 wins after winning their division of the Heat/Fury Shutdown at Wayzata high school. Sabin beat DUT, Heat Morgan and Lightning Gregor by nearly 20 points each and won a close game over Titans Johnson. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Impressive One Loss Showings</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Top ranked [program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley'] went 4-1 in the Augusta Live event. The Panthers started by beating Alabama Fusion and Utah Prospects before losing to UPlay out of Canada. They then bounced back and beat Wildcats Elite and Kingdom Hoops to go 4-1 for the weekend. This allowed Pulley to share the Pool B title among a group of four EYBL teams, one EYCL team and one Adidas team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hoop Habits earned third place in the P32 in Memphis as they beat Miami Blue Rays by 24, Texas Summit by 13, and Hoop City out of Tennessee by 31 points. Semi-final opponent Play Hard Play Smart knocked off Hoop Habits by three points. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] Zurn knocked off EG10 (was in 3SSB top event the previous weekend) by 30 but lost to UTC Fire by two scores to start sweet 16 play. They bounced back to beat the Illinois Bears and IE Team Indiana by double figures to end the year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] Goring beat ND Phenom by a score and beat Indiana Basketball Club 3SSB by a couple scores but lost to Davis Brothers Adidas Gold by 19 in the elite eight in Indy. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[program_tooltip program_id='2888391' first='Minnesota' last='Comets'] Elite went 4-1. The results of the Chicago event were taken down immediately after the games were completed.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Minnesota Lightning Gregor won three of four in the Twin Cities last weekend with wins over Heat Morgan, DUT, and Titans Johnson with the one loss to Fury Sabin.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] Jeff opened with a win over a Canadian team but lost to a team from Memphis. They bounced back and knocked off Ayo Dosumu's Illinois team and a team from Indiana. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[program_tooltip program_id='2221115' first='Midwest' last='Kings'] Hoge beat an Indiana team, knocked off an Illinois team and then won a one point game in the elite eight of the Gold division in Indy. They were beat in the semis by an Indiana team but making the semis was a nice run.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Next Week!</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sioux Falls has a Minnesota team or two (two events there, one schedule is not available yet), Denver has a couple from Minnesota, Orlando has a couple, and its possible that one of the three 17u programs in Vegas may bring a 16u as well, we will check that out.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
