Texas Future Circuit: Roadrunner Session III

Throughout the past weekend I was impressed with the following five players featured in this article. With the ball in his hands, he showcased his skill in setting up his teammates for scoring opportunities, primarily by controlling the pace of the offense for Below Zero 14U. He was committed to doing everything he could to keep his team afloat, especially on the defensive end, where he plays with intensity. I also appreciated his speed in pushing the ball up the court to create scoring chances. He excels at getting to the basket and has a tight handle, which helps him avoid turnovers while he's on offense. When shooting from the perimeter, he made some standing shot attempts, especially when he was open. He used his physical strength and frame to create space for clear looks in the paint. Despite facing contact from defenders his size, he managed to convert on at least 70-85% of his opportunities. Finister also demonstrated good footwork to get around his matchups at times. He would set up his teammates for high-percentage shots while using his athleticism to reach the rim and finish many of his opportunities. Also, he demonstrated his versatility by excelling in both half-court and full-court settings. On offense, he can also shoot from the mid-range in half-court settings. His physicality makes him a threat on both ends of the court as he battles for rebounds.
