The SD class of 2028 is the brightest spot in all classes this year in my opinion. It's going to be fun watching these guys compete as they begin to step into larger roles on their varsity squads. Some of these guys noted in this article had to play big spots last year as freshman and are no doubt already on peoples radars for this season. Class B is always filled with new and exciting changes through out the year and I look for that to be no difference this season. Here's my look at just a few guys that need to be accounted for come December.

I expect Jett to have a break out year this season. He showed glimpses of being able to score in traffic last season, taking on contact and finishing strong. He does a great job of cutting off ball and setting his feet before his shot. His catch and shoot game from deep is an underrated part of his game. Jett is an absolute pest on defense, always in a passing lane.

Jace is a strong athletic kid with a nose for the ball in the paint. He's a great rebounder and plays bigger than 6'1 down low. Thorpe is a great baseline cutter and knows how to time his cuts to be most effective.

Drayden's game fundamentals are on point. He has a great catch and shoot game from beyond the arc forcing defenders to always know where he's at. He has a knack for getting his hand on the ball, whether on a board or a pass deflection, and he's not afraid to get on the floor for the 50/50 ball.

Shay will be a big factor for the Tigers this season. His energy on the floor is a big reason why. He flys around on defense and runs the floor very well. Knust is an athletic kid that get hot from 3 but really excels at getting down hill to the rim.

Grady has that hunger to score the basketball, any time he has the ball in his hands he's dangerous, and can put up points in a hurry. He can stroke it from deep with the smallest of window. Hulscher pushes pace with the ball and has a nasty quick first step. I expect Grady to have a break out year this season as his summer has been very productive.

Ethan was a solid 7 ppg and 4 apg for the Tigers as freshman. He played in all 22 games last season and shot it at 32% from deep. New Underwood graduated 2 of it's leading scorers last year and I expect Enos to step up and fill one of those spots.
