RCS Sports Big Bang Championship: Underrated Radar Watch List

The RCS Sports Big Bang Championship at The Gym had a great variety of teams and players ready to compete in the two-day event. Several different athletes from numerous age groups made their names known and were putting themselves on the radar with top performances during bracket play. I was able to watch about 5-6 games on the weekend and these hoopers stood out to me for their respective teams!    Jefferson was one of the younger, more dominant wings I was able to evaluate during bracket play. He uses his strong 6'3 frame well to bully his way to the paint against multiple defenders and can handle the ball under pressure. Jermarin knows when to push the tempo on fastbreaks and when to slow down and let the offense run its course. He should be a key piece on whatever team he plays on for Atascocita this upcoming season and has a good versatile skillset that allows him to score in the midrange or paint.     Kaden Plenty was one of the top playmakers in attendance during the Big Bang Championships. Plenty was a 2027 guard from the Woodlands playing up in the 17u division, but he definitely looked the part as he kept teammates involved on offense, was vocal on defense, and had good court awareness. Kaden can beat opposing matchups with deceptive speed and is an unselfish point guard who knows how to move the basketball and never stand still on offense. His aggressive perimeter defense helped set the tone for the Conroe Mustangs as they stood tall in their first bracket matchup on Saturday.     Brayden was a super proficient sharpshooter for Fam Elite Scott in their Saturday afternoon route of 1 Nation 2027. Celestine knows how to pick his spots efficiently to get open shots from deep and can knock down jumpers from all 3 levels when left open. Brayden also is a crafty guard who can work his way to the free throw line where he shoots a high percentage and his ability to stay in passing lanes on defense is also super effective. Look for him to make some noise with the Eagles this upcoming school year.     Kevon was a dual threat player who made a massive difference for 1 Nation 2026 in their Saturday morning game. He knows how to get stops on the perimeter and in the paint on defense, as well as being able to score from all 3 levels on offense. He can bury three pointers from deep, drive to the rim and get a tough bucket, and double as a ballhandler against opposing presses if needed. He was one of the biggest contributors for 1 Nation this tournament as he displayed that he could show up on the big stage when his team needs a go-to-scorer.     D'Angelo was my most underrated radar watch prospect of this weekend due to his age and playing up at such a high level within an older division. As a 2028 hooper playing in 17u with the Conroe Mustangs, D'Angelo displayed consistent knockdown shooting with unlimited range and found his way to the rim for good opportunities to score the basketball. Durosier has a good motor when hustling for loose balls and his speed is a blur in transition as he fills lanes correctly and makes smart decisions in key moments. Don't let his 15u age fool you, this kid has the potential to be really good and is already taking strides towards improving his game.
