Texas Two Step as Jackson Brothers Shine in Win for Upside Athletics

We started the day of by checking out on of the prospects that created the most buzz at the event in Upside Athletics 75-59 win over Davis Brothers Elite in a 17U contest. Kaleb Jackson is a 6'5” 2026 combo guard from Kingdom Collegiate Academy in Texas. A lot to like with Jackson who has excellent positional size, great frame, and fluid athleticism. He was at his best off the bounce getting in the lane for crafty finishes and soft touch finishes. Smooth ball handler that gets to his spots and makes plays for himself along with others. Drive and kick passes finding shooters. Made sound decisions with the ball. Solid perimeter defender. Finished with 23 points. His brother 2027 Miles Jackson is a 6'3” two guard that is more of a shooter than his brother. Knocked in four triples in the win. Also is a quality athlete that slashes off the bounce and was slick in the lane finishing with euro steps. Solid connectivity as a passer. He had 20 points. They got some toughness from Ephraim Aimuwu as the 2026 6'5” forward is an active offensive rebounder.

For Davis Brothers Elite it was a trio of perimeter prospects that left and impression. Jake Burow, Nick Schultz, and Ian Kowal shined as solid perimeter shot makers for the Wisconsin squad.

Team Blaze Select Trio Pushes Past Chi-Town Bulldogs 17U

Next up we had an Illinois vs Indiana battle as Team Blaze Select topped Chi-Town Bulldogs 67-63. Tevin Bridgwaters is a junk yard dog 6'3” tough as nails undersized post. He was a monster finishing around the hoop with efficiency. Cleaned up on the offensive glass and showed touch around the basket on shoot shots and short turnaround jumpers. Went for 19 points. Nathan Walker was a capable scorer on the perimeter that drained several threes and made good decisions as passer off live dribbles netting 17 points. Omar Gonzalez is a thick bodied wing that finished out of the dump off spot well en route to 11 points.

Chi-Town Bulldogs got a spartk in the second half from Roosevelt Thomas. The De La Salle 2028 wing was injured in first half, but came out firing in the second half with his ability to get downhill with his physicality. Finished through defenders while showing nifty finishing moves including reverse layups. Hit a three, flashed defensively, and got on the glass. Went for all 14 points in second half. Ledarrel Goss who recently transferred to Lake View is an explosive wing that excels in transition using his speed and explosiveness to get to the rack. Such a great burst and knows how to finish as he had 16 points. Jacob Thompson from St. Francis de Sales is a power forward that flashed early in his career. He has added significant strength and the 2026 post was very good as a rebounder, walled up on the defensive end, and had a nice spin move.

Minnesota Fury Moves to 17U Final with Comeback vs Indiana Basketball Club

We checked out the semis of the 17U championship bracket next as Minnesota Fury stormed back to beat Indiana Basketball Club 62-51 in front of a big group of college coaches. Early on it looked like it was going to be more of the same for Indiana Basketball Club as they led 35-21 as the half. It was all Fury in the second half including a 15-0 run to advance to the finals.

Lucas Gustafson led the way for Minnesota Fury as the guard made key plays one after another with some big pull up threes, conversions at the cup, and passed it well for 17 points and 6 dimes. Thomas Shunmugavelu is a 6'5” post that brought toughness inside. He is light on his feet in pick/roll finishes, spin moves into hooks, and takes from mid-post for 11 points. Alex Schroepfer stood out as a tough wing that made difficult shots and rebounded well for 8 points and 7 rebounds.

Indiana Basketball Club got a really nice outing from small forward Nick Shrewsberry. Extremely skilled and versatile wing that can play inside and out. Stuffs the stat sheet and plays to his strength each time we saw him including here in a 17 point and 7 rebound game. Bouncy small forward Jashawn Lloyd struggled a bit shooting from the field, but did flash with a rip for a massive two handed slam along with connective passing for 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 dimes. Inside Lewis Harvey finished well with his bounce out of the dunker spot for 9 points.

Davis Brothers Take Home 16U Title vs IE Team Tradition

The 16U championship saw Davis Brothers Elite out of Wisconsin knock off Indian Elite Team Tradition 76-55. They controlled the game throughout. Austin Luchetti was Davis Brothers Elite's top scorer with 18 points. Four man that cut off the ball, hook shots, ran the floor, and showed mobility in the pick/roll. Logan Ramczyk is a combo guard that knocked down an array of three balls getting elevation off the floor each time. Moves without the ball and is a pesky defender who had 16 points. Point guard Blake Basich is a plus shooting lead guard that had 16 points in the victory including draining trio from deep. This group just plays so well as a team and it led them to a championship.

Maxwell Vise had a big showing for Indiana Elite Team Tradition once again. The 6'6” long and rangy four man is very fluid with his movements and finishes with his Gumby length around the hoop. Seals in the high/low game, reverse dunk, mid-range jumper, and proved to be a really good passer. Went for 17 points in the loss. Bright future ahead for him.

Another Crown for Davis Brothers Elite as they Win 15U Championship over Minnesota Fury

The 15U Championship game saw another title victory for Davis Brothers Elite as they won 73-68. Tyler Schwalbach was massive in this game as the 2028 shooting guard dropped 20 points in the win. Liked his ability to bomb in deep balls while skill getting to the rack with straight line takes, hesi/blow by moves, and got to the line. Tyler Kowal dropped 17 points for the victors as the point guard is super crafty as a finisher with reverse layups and nifty buckets. Mason Wallace came up big again inside for Davis Brothers Elite as the physical and athletic post is a very good rebounder, rim runner, and knows his role. Went for 9 points.

On the Fury side it was 21 points for Benjamin Koch as the lead guard was bombing in threes splashing them in with ease. Also has some creativity with the ball in his hands and is a crisp passer. Gavin Bauer is a lefty wing that can stop and pop from distance. Intrigued with Nolan Green as a 6'5” four man that brings a nice frame, rebounding, and floor spacing potential.
